Favorite Games (board games, card games or videogames): games with Hungarian card, Poker(with friends), War Thunder, Burnout Paradise I just realized that, quite by coincidence, I have acquired and extensively played both of these games over the past summer. (it was strange to come here, start reading randomly as I scrolled down to most recent posts, and then realize that the two biggest new games in my library were in someone else's favorites.) War thunder (115 hours played, including some time with the game running in the background) info: Username: Andrew_Maxw[followed by some random numbers] Currently following American Army Fighter, American bomber and Russian Fighter (Ishak/MiG and Yak) upgrade lines. Currently researching the P51 Mustang to enter Rank 4. 5-plane combat lineup consists of two aircobras (Even though they're level 2 I still prefer them to Kingcobras due to m10 bazooka capability), two Kingcobras, and a B17. Burnout Paradise(40 hours): Can't get online because I'm borrowing my brother's copy Approx. 25 wins until Burnout Elite Favorite car so far: Hawker Solo, use the Hunter Oval Champ for Marked Man and Road Rage.

Well, that's the way it goes. One in, one out. Welcome, Vilthuril, to the forums! Does The Kid read Gunnerkrigg Court, or just you? Thanks smurfton! He reads it too, but not as avidly; he's more into (jazz, broadway, and/or a capella) music and (computer or role playing) games. Oh, and needless to say the obligatory skype and facebook. Come to think of it, another question on this thread could be, What Other Comics Do You Read? For me it's K Chronicles, Unshelved, Chocolate With Pepper (Chikorita on Deviantart), occasionally Sandra and Woo, Doonesbury, Zits, formerly of course Calvin and Hobbes and Bloom County... I'm slowly getting the Complete Peanuts collections because Peanuts ---> Calvin and Hobbes ----> almost everything. Lots of other graphic novels on the shelves, e.g. Aya, Habibi, Solanin, as previously mentioned the Bechdel and Tintin books, Dr. Seuss, Sparks (Marvit), Birth of a Nation (McGruder, Hudlin, Baker - not the film!). Still, Gunnerkrigg Court is my big favourite; I'm all ready for the next book to come out! What about all y'all? Inquiring minds want to know (so they can look up new stuff)!

Welcome! LeGuin's science fiction works... Yes! Planet of Exile, The Left Hand of Darkness and The Dispossessed are on my list of books I should read again, probably as soon as I have finished reading the internet. Thank you for reminding, I stopped reading his comic when I had enough of Salon. Another bookmark on the list.. I had even forgotten Keith Knight uses keef as his pen-name; I named myself after a Dutch book I have a list for all weekdays, but I doubt there is anything you haven't heard of. This one is pretty new: O Human Star Looks promising.

Well I wasn't planning to, but since I've been trying to be a teensy bit more active here... Hello.
Real Name: Kieran
Nicknames: Fishy, and I go by that with just about everyone I know.
Age: 19 years old
Height: 5'3
Weight: 135 lbs
Gender: Male
Favorite Games: Bioshock (only the first one), Dark Souls, recently Cards Against Humanity, and I'm painfully into Visual Novels. I definitely didn't just start imagining a Gunnerkrigg Court visual novel as I was writing this, don't be silly...
Favorite Court character: Zimmy
Favorite movie(s): V For Vendetta. Haven't read the comic it was based on, didn't even know it was based on a comic 'til recently.
Favorite book(s): The Great Gatsby, The Zombie Survival Guide.
Damn... I feel like an incredibly boring man looking at this.

Come to think of it, another question on this thread could be, What Other Comics Do You Read? What about all y'all? Inquiring minds want to know (so they can look up new stuff)! I've read the completed webcomics Girly, Concerned, 8-Bit Theater, Narbonic, Spacetrawler, Digger, Rice Boy, Order of Tales, Problem Sleuth and Jailbreak Adventure. The ones I read now are Girl Genius, Gunnerkrigg Court, Skin Horse, Schlock Mercenary, The Mansion of E, Captain SNES, The Order of the Stick, xkcd, The Adventures of Dr. McNinja, Awkward Zombie, Questionable Content, Erfworld, One Way, Darths & Droids, Vattu, El Goonish Shive, Goblins and Broodhollow. Then there's a couple that I'm not really reading right now, but still have in my bookmarks ( Aikonia, Looking for Group, Sandra and Woo, Gaia, Misfile, Blindsprings and Namesake). If any of you have heard of all of these, you win one (1) internet cookie. If you can't tell, I tended to get my new comics off of TV Tropes' Archive Binge/Webcomics Long Runners pages for a while. Archive binges are way too much fun. Because I've never had internet access at work, I'm not terribly sure where to draw the line on violence in order to be SFW, but the linked ones should be fine. I'll put links in later.it would seem that I *almost* owed Jim North a cookie thereWell I wasn't planning to, but since I've been trying to be a teensy bit more active here... Hello. I sense a new pastime in the offing. Is the pastime drunk hiking in the nude? That sounds problematic... Drunk, hiking, nude? Can they even be separated? Maybe she, shockingly, talks with them? I was under the impression that card/board/tabletop games were a sort of vehicle for conversation, like food is. You got it all wrong. This is how you receive people if you're looking for a discussion:

it would seem that I *almost* owed Jim North a cookie there Even closer than you thought! Of the finished comics you listed, I've also read Girly, 8-Bit Theater, and Spacetrawler, all of which I was extremely sad to see come to an end. On the rest, I've read at least parts of xkcd, El Goonish Shive, and Looking for Group, but none of them ended up staying on my regular reading list for one reason or another. And I know of Questionable Content, at least, primarily through the jesting rivalry between Jeph Jacques and Sam Logan. I can has half a cookie?

Considering that I was relying on Mansion of E, Girly, and Captain SNES to keep me from owing cookies, you might as well take the whole thing. tl;dr U can has. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you read Spacetrawler, and yet have never heard of One Way? You realize that they have the same author, right?

Huzzah! nom nom nom nom Ah, I have indeed heard of One Way then, but I'd forgotten that was the name. Unfortunately it didn't grab me at all in the way Spacetrawler did, so I ended up only reading about twenty pages in before moving on. Things may have changed beyond that point, but where Spacetrawler felt alive and vibrant to me even during its quieter moments, One Way felt staid and stilted. And too dry, which is a bit odd since I actually enjoy dry humor usually.

I wondered where this thread was.
Real Name: You can call me Nat. (Not really a real name, but eeeeeeh, not tellin' you my real name.)
Nicknames: Glag, Topaz, Weirdo
Age: Highschool age
Height: We'll, I used to be short, but then I was tall, and now it's kinda back an' forth. Not sure, I think I'd count as 'stocky' right now.
Weight: Heavy, but honestly, it's not fat. Marching band kinda does that to you.
Gender: Guy.
Favorite Games (board games, card games or videogames): Clue, LoZ (all of them), And Cave Story especially.
Favorite Court character: Mort, (May he rest in peace.) and Zimmy, also Robot, and, uh, totes Coyote. And Red and shadow, too. And Kat. And Jimmy, and, uh... Just, all of them but Boxbot.
Favorite sport(s): Marching Band. Do not even argue.
Favorite movie: The Princess Bride.
Favorite book(s): Anything Shakespeare, Harry Potter a goood deal, the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull, and a bunch of other books that I don't feel like listing right now. Just, too many.
Finally, tell us a little about yourself: Welp, I'm Glag (no idea why this ain't capitalized in my username), and a certifiable crazy. I type how I speak, so please don't correct my grammar; I'll use good grammar when I'm being serious. But, I really love the Legends of Zelda and, duh, Gunnerkrigg Mort. Uh, Court. Yeah. I do Marching Band, the best sport, and love classic books and classical music. Other than that, not really anything to say 'crept that I'm bonkers, so don' get too cuddly.

The not so good English kinda lends it quirkiness of manga translation. Not a lot of them have super fine language quality. So I kinda feel it appropriate, actually. Also, hello there tlo! Warm welcomes to the GC boards! Warm as cloudy late spring afternoon and freshly baked cookies, 15 minutes out from the oven. Favorite sport(s): Marching Band. Do not even argue. Also, ARGUMENT!! >:3 But no seriously, I was once in a marching band. Not very big, but it was fun!
