On another forum I'm on, a guy who's currently teaching English in northern China said he asked his students what the Chinese equivalent of "it's all Greek to me" is, and once he got the concept across that was the unanimous answer. I think I like their version better than ours. |

Probably because it's where the idea of a new covenant between God and the House of Israel is explained to the hebrews who had converted to christianity. And this new covenant is mediated by the high priest that is Jesus Christ, and it replaces the old covenant made by mediation of Moses. So, here there are some elements also found in the comic: an old contract that ceases to be in force, a new contract made in place of it, a mediator in action. At least that. Well done! |

At that point Hebrews quotes God from Old Testament, but I didn't have it in me to look for where it was from exactly or how accurate particularly since quoting this letter made much sense to me in the context. With that last Greek discussion, I remember that I was taught that New Testament means New Pact or New Covenant...a "new contract" of sorts.
Letting the religious correlation aside, would that mean that with this chapter ( is it the beginning of a new book?) are we entering the last 37% of the comic?
