Very strange! I looked at the thread this morning, I didn't see anything in it at that time that might warrant a removal... maybe either something went awry in the last few hours, or something happened to the database? Either way, sad...

Well, I do recall spotting a couple of posts with some questionable content... And at least one that was downright crude. Maybe Tom spotted that and said, "Nope, Don't think so." [DELETED].

You know, Tom, it's times like this I really wish you'd just appoint one or two regular forum members as moderators or administrators. I know you're a busy guy and you can't be bothered to constantly check up on every thread on the forum. So let us do it for you! We'd be happy to help! There are better ways to handle a forum than permabaning first-time offenders and deleting entire threads without warning or explanation.

He's banned people for mouthing off. This entire forum is a tertiary feature in his book (thus explaining why it's hosted on a free, off-site forum provider). |

Anyone else think that the multiple posts theorising about the deletion of the other thread, trying to figure out which post was offensive and suggesting alternative ways to deal with rude posts, only to have Tom reveal the simple answer that the deletion was accidental, is a perfect summary of this entire forum and the discussion of the comic?
I mean this in an affectionate way, just to be clear!
