as usual....
Aly's looking like he's getting ready to fight Willie. I'd really enjoy seeing Willy get knocked down a peg or two, he's definetly not my favorite character.
Annie's kinda sitting back there in panel 4... Poor Annie. x.x
I too am curious about his cold weather gear. We also saw it in the last comic, but not the two prior to that. As the week goes on it appears that he's wearing more and more layers. I wonder if this indicates a sort of time limit on him?
Edit: Woops, spelled Willie's name wrong.
(PS- ARG @#$@ing LEG CASTS ITCH!!!!... There, had to scream that somewhere or I was going to go insane.)

Continuing with my foolish idea that GC has any kind of link at all to my favourite computer game, the only person in it that wraps up that warmly is Feastus the pyromaniac gnome, who betrays the goddess of nature and justice to the god of fire and progress.
I'm guessing, therefore, that he betrayed the forest people to one of the factions in the Court, is an inventor (that'll get Kat even more interested in him), will convince some other forest-people to go to the Court instead, and will eventually betray his new master(s) to Annie and Kat.

Ya know...I didn't notice the progressively thickening attire of Aly's until you mentioned that, Aspen d'Grey. Maybe he's just not used to the weather in that part of where ever they are. Maybe the weather's getting colder but everyone's used to it and aren't really conscious of. I mean, they all seem to be being quite active right now so they wouldn't necessarily notice it right now anyway. But...there probably could be a condition exclusive to Aly that requires him to stay warm as time goes on in this small period of time we're observing him in.
Also, what's up with Willie's eyes? Is that darkenedness around them indicative of his sour disposition or is it his unique characteristic to keep up with the eye theme that's persistent with all the other themes? Or maybe he's an insomniac. Or something. Maybe I'm looking too far into this.
Also, that grinning, cowlick-sporting kid makes me want to stab a jaw. :/

I'd be surprised if Aly *did* get into a fight with Willie; he (Aly) seems a little too laid back for that. But I'm certainly curious as to why he's suddenly started bundling up after starting off with a short-sleeved t-shirt.

I say! Judging by the sudden shifting of weight forward, the way he has placed his hands in a position that would aid him to push off the bench at speed and the fact that Tom is quite brilliant at drawing postures, I am forced to assume that he is about to do something quite uncivilized to Master Winsbury.[/random uppercrust englishman]
Because I haven't slept in two days. That's why.
Also, that dude gets creepier every single page he's on.

Aly's a cold-blooded person. No other explanation. Has to wrap up to keep warm and alert and moving.

Or, he got something to hide inside him, or he have his whole body being transformed into something.

I do get the feeling his excessive amount of clothes (gloves!) is not so much there to keep him warm as it is to cover his body for some reason. After all yesterday he was wearing a scarf over a regular long sleeved shirt which really doesn't make sense if he did so because he's cold. (he'd start out with a jacket first then, probably) I wouldn't be surprised if, when he starts wearing something on his head, he'll start out with pulling that scarf up instead of wearing a hat.

Maybe Kat will let Winsbury have it before Aly gets the opportunity to do so.

In the first panel both Aly and the bench he's sitting on are completely missing. A hint?

I think that's just because we're looking at it from a different angle.
to Boksha- Well, that would be what I'd wear if I was getting cold, a slightly heavier shirt + a scarf, and it kinda fits with his indy rock kinda of persona.
My next bet on clothing is going to get a jacket. Also, I'm thinking Eglamore might step in... Kat with a crush on two people at the same time might get interesting! (Remember, he is their games teacher)

The speculations that Aly might be turning into something and is wearing all those extra clothes to hide the signs of his transformation remind me of Wilbur Whateley in "The Dunwich Horror".

Or he might just have some physical problems, haha, which we all hope not to happen.

That is bizarre the way Aly adds one more layer each day. day 1) T-shirt, pants day 2) Long sleeved shirt, pants, scarf day 3) Sweater, pants, scarf, gloves
Strange thought: Is he trying to keep heat in or keep heat out? Insulation works both ways...
Or is he the anti-Zimmy, and cools over time, like she seems to overheat over time?
And what's the connection with the Nightmare house?

Also, that grinning, cowlick-sporting kid makes me want to stab a jaw. :/I honestly thought you said "stab a Jew." I'm glad you didn't. I agree with the "Aly's got some sort of sickness" theory. Probably something where he always feels cold. Also, the basketball hoops in panel 1 are REALLY high.

poor old Willie his character seems to be exploited for plot expediency (though I guess somebody's has to be). I think he'll get a chance to develop a little later after all he already has a background romance and Tom seems to like writing duos.
I actually kind of like him. Maybe it's because he hasn't shown much dishonesty? In 231 everyones looking at Aly because he's so out of place, very nonchalant etc and whilst Wil acts like a jerk it seems like he's just ticked of by how pretentious Aly is

mrw- dont quite agree with the keep heat out, a human body produces a lot of heat! Although, it is possible, but I think we'd see other signs... Pale skin, icecles, etc.

While it's true the human body produces heat, there's no reason him not being human or having some weird fictional disease couldn't change all that. But if he really wanted to keep heat out, he'd probably cover even his face. Speaking of heat, what season is it in the comic right now?

'He' is wearing more to hide the fact that he isn't a he~
In those gym outfits, it'd be a bit easy to determine 'his' gender, I'd imagine.
