Auditioning for Vocal Parts:
1) Feel free to audition for any part you want. Post a link to your audition in the thread. I will add the link after the character's name in this post. If you want it to be uploaded to the GKCFanProject Youtube account, please contact me to get it uploaded. If you prefer another format or service, just post the link.
2) See this thread for tips on how to make the most of your vocal performance through equipment and technique.
3) The auditions are open for ALL CHARACTERS that have not been voted on yet, so feel free to look as far down the list as you want! As an final date approaches, I will indicate so by the chapter title. At the close of that chapter's audition, the performances will be linked and voted upon for a week in the new Voting Thread, which I will post when we need it again.
4) Don't worry if there's already a lot of auditions for a part you want! Go ahead and audition, you might impress everyone more than the others! Also, don't forget that you can audition for more than one part, in case you don't get the one you were hoping for!
5) If you post an audition but then re-record it and want your new audition considered instead, just let me know (you can post a replacement request here, but if you PM me, I’m less likely to miss it) and I'll remove the old link and add the new one after the character name. You can also make multiple auditions for the same role, if you want both versions considered.
6) What should you read for your audition? There is no set “audition script” for any given character, so you can read whatever you want! Just please keep these things in mind:
7) You can add visuals and music to your audition. However, please make sure that it doesn’t distract from your voice, which is what we’re voting on.
8) Bit parts are indicated with asterisks (*) below. If they don't get filled before the deadline we’ll borrow another voice, but if you’re too shy for a larger part or not really sure how much you want to participate, we’d love for you to give it a try. (And if a bit part becomes important later - because let’s face it, this is Gunnerkrigg - you’ll be completely free to reevaluate your participation.)
9) Each chapter's auditions will close as the production schedule requires it. I will try to post at least two weeks warning before a chapter's auditions close. Generally speaking, earlier chapters are much more critical than the later chapters.
10) This is important: if you have ANY feedback, comments, or concerns about any part of this process, please post a comment or send me a PM telling me so. This is for YOU GUYS and if you think the process can be improved, PLEASE let me know! I'm deadly serious here. I am absolutely awful at picking up on hints, so if you have anything at all to say, tell me directly.
To keep this thread as clean as possible, all already-chosen roles are listed in the Cast List.
