These past 2 or 3 pages have been my least favorite in a long time. It just feels like it's been a guest comic drawn by someone who has the same art style as Tom. I can't put my finger on it. For me, Jack's eyes have been disconcerting. I know it's because of his mental state and his Etheric cargo, but still, the constant swap between rational and manic has been difficult to handle. Here's hoping Jack gets a meal and the etheric equivalent of an enema. That, and the tone is markedly different. It's much like the pacing in the flashback comic with Annie as a younger girl doing her first bit of mediating... we spent a great deal of time working with that burned young man, getting under the bed, seeing him panicked. This feels much the same in terms of the pacing.

I'd just like to lower the scientific tone of the thread (nanites, tch) by suggesting that the Court has a Marauder's Map. A wizard did it!

Mostly Jack and the fallout from his Zimmingham experience, but also Kat dealing with the emotional impact of the Diego recordings.

Maybe the nanite simply stays in the body for some time? When it runs down on energy or whatever (remember, the Court is against using etheric means) a new one latches on instead.
Poorly thought out, highly unlikely, but whatever.

I'm suspending judgment on the "tracking materials in the food" question until we get some evidence for or against it from sources independent of Jack. In his present paranoid state, he's not the most reliable source of information (and his response to Annie's remark that it would make more sense for the Court to plant tracking materials in the food suggests that his claim about the food was speculation on his part.
We know that some of the things he says are true (Reynardine's real name being Renard, his attempt to kill Annie, Anthony's abandonment of Annie) because we have independent confirmation of them, but that doesn't mean everything he says is accurate.

The inclusion of Reynardine's reaction in Panel 5 is priceless. I am very much enjoying this chapter.

Agreed. I was only pointing out that it would be extremely feasible within the Court's level of technology. So they could easily do it if they wanted. Whether they actually have done it remains to be seen.
