I bet the note says something along the lines of "Meet me at this place at this time." I agree with everyone who's been saying that the guy in the suit is an older student, similar to a prefect. He doesn't look old enough to be out of school and therefore one of the recruiters, but he is dressed more formally than the students in Annie and Kat's classes. Also.... I sure hope that drop of the window isnt too far.

Did anyone else notice the symbol of the court on the bottom of Jack's shoes? Are the shoes court issue? Or is that just a cool piece of trivia?

I wonder if they're after Jack specifically or they're interested in what's on that paper. Maybe he jumped through the wrong window and found some information he wasn't meant to know, and passed it on to Annie because he knows she's into investigating weird stuff. Or just to get the dudes in fancy suits to stop coming after him.

Or just to get the dudes in fancy suits to stop coming after him. We know Jack enjoys poking his nose in places it doesn't belong. He was the one who brought the group to the power plant so he must spend his free time exploring the court. Now he knows that Annie is a fellow explorer.

Is it just me, or is the not glowing in the second panel. It looks like there's a halo of light around it. I think it's just there to draw the reader's attention to the note, not a literal halo of light around it; much like the people in the background are not literally paper cutouts.

Hey, you guys!
You know they are literally paper cutouts!
Though, as one forum member speculated, they may be normal students who have invented a house and hide behind paper cutouts for the sake of anonymity.

1. Being chased by cut-out people out of Doom Patrol is perfectly consistent with ongoing Zimmification.
2. Anyone who doesn't think "parkour hero" when a chapter entitled "Spring Heeled" opens with Jack leaping down an angled stairway and skidding with style is obviously criminally insane.
3. Considering Eglamore's youngish appearance, is it unthinkable that's Jack's dad?
4. The paper has the launch code! It is MOTEKIM.

Nice to see some new kinds of characters in the Court.
Is it just me or is Black Suit Guy putting out some serious Agent Smith vibes? It's either that snappy suit, or the "goddammit he got AWAY" expression that Smith usually sports when Neo does something especially awesome?

Darnit Jack looks creepy in the fourth panel, what with him looking directly into the camera.
And the Black Suit looks like a Nazi. :/

If "Angry Authority Figure in a Black Suit" saw the note exchange, I suspect an interaction between Antimony and "Angry Authority Figure in a Black Suit". I feel sorry for Angry Authority Figure then. A battle of words with Antimony? He's way outclassed.

That's my boy! 3. Considering Eglamore's youngish appearance, is it unthinkable that's Jack's dad? Not "unthinkable," but since there's absolutely zero evidence for it, it's more like "unsupportable" at the moment. After all, it wasn't "unthinkable" to think that Jones and Brinnie were the same person, and you can bet a lot of people did. Because they wanted to. I love Jack's serious airborne face.

Okay, so I've been watching these boards for a long time, but this chapter looks to be so AWESOME, I can no longer remain silent.
At last we get to find out what's going on with Jack. From the looks of things, he needs Annie for something, or at least wants her help. I'm guessing that the note actually has some kind of cryptic message, or better yet a strange drawing of some kind. Otherwise he could have just told her.
It definitely does look like Jack's being pursued by authority figures, though why exactly beats me. I like the theory that he stole the paper he just handed to her, and that's why he's being pursued.
Considering the chapter is titled after a figure who leapt from rooftops in England, I'm guessing that it's a loooooong way down from that window. Hopefully Jack is about to show some major jumping skills.

Wow, even the note looks dirty. Dude needs a bath.
I doubt it's Jack's father; the hair seems too brown.

Looks like Jack's been snooping somewhere he oughtn't have. Also, I wonder how long he's been carrying that note around with him.

Kat: what does it say? Annie: "Help me Antimony Carver, you're my only hope." Kat: *snickers* Annie: *blank look of confusion* Something which would have been better if he had used a small robot to convey the (supposed) message rather than a somewhat abused piece of paper.

Oh dear. Now you're just asking for something for the boxbot thread. So that dude in the black coat is a prefect? Midshipman? Formally dressed ghostbuster?

If "Angry Authority Figure in a Black Suit" saw the note exchange, I suspect an interaction between Antimony and "Angry Authority Figure in a Black Suit". Unlikely, but even in this case he should not be a big problem - Annie did cut down to size Eglamore and Ysengrin effortlessly... More probably, she will try to get some answer from him. This guy screamed on panel 4, so i assume he didn't saw Jack in panel 3. At worst, he can ask Annie what business Jack has with her, and she's going to answer " he stopped to politely say hello" or something like this. and passed it on to Annie because he knows she's into investigating weird stuff. I'd say it's extremely unlikely, given Jack's predicament and their... strained relations. Of course, they could be reconciled while raiding Suttons' house, but it would be behind the screen's back, and he still has the same black eyes problem. 3. Considering Eglamore's youngish appearance, is it unthinkable that's Jack's dad? Possible, but very unlikely. That he didn't chase alone but led others doesn't help. 4. The paper has the launch code! It is MOTEKIM. TicTocs don't need a launch code. I agree with first two points, though. They're clearly magical shoes that grant their wearers the power of jumping. That's what Coyote's sneaky plan was! He gave Annie that tooth only few days ago and already has enough of access to improve random shoes with his awesome prancing powers.
