This night I dreamed of Gunnerkrigg Court The dream was a bit blurry, but I seem to remember it was mostly about Zimmy learning that there's nothing wrong with seeking help when you need some :3

A lesson we all need to learn at some point.
I wish I had Gunnerkrigg dreams. They would probably feature Annie trying to wave Eglamore's sword and tipping over. Either that or Mort would be some vengeful spirit and it would turn into a nightmare.
I had a nightmare once where I was chased by Pennywise, and I'm not even afraid of clowns. How about that?

I had a nightmare once where I was chased by Pennywise, and I'm not even afraid of clowns. How about that? Pennywise isn't a clown. He/it is the result of a terrible conspiracy between the carnival and some kind of raptor-corporation. Also I seem vaguely aware of having a Gunnerkrigg dream at some point of time. Then again, the combined effects of my horrible memory, the overshadowing effects of the terrifying and magnificent other dreams, and my horrible memory, have rendered any specific details non-existent.

It was probably about Boxbot, but it was so terrible your brain wiped it from your memory to save your sanity.

Dreams about Boxbot qualify as nightmares.

I dreamed about GC once, it featured Basil as the creator of the tic-tocs, among other stuff.

Hmm yeah, Basil and the headmaster are two characters I would enjoy seeing more of in the future.
Now my dreams have also been influenced by Gunnerkrigg Court. In my dream I had a conversation with Jeanne (as a ghost). She asked me when I had died. I told her I wasn't dead, but she insisted that I was :/

Can Jeanne even talk as a ghost? I thought ghosts were made of ectoplasm and you couldn't touch them How can she hold anything? Unless it's the ghost of the sword... When will we see Anthony?

Mort too... I saw a ghost once. I was on a ride at a water park. He looked like an actual man until he got sucked into the air vent. His body just disapeared. All that was left was the float/life vest he was riding on...

That's where we get the expression, when someone's twisting your arm too far, to cry "Uncle!"

That's how a superhero is born. They have a mutation someone gave them or they're born with it.

I had a dream involving GKC once.
A group of nobodies was chasing me through Birmingham (a mixture of the Zimmy version and a city near where I live of the same name). I reach a dead end and they surrounded me; I tried to fly, but it wasn't a flying dream; I tried to climb up the wall, but it was slippery. The nobodies dragged me down and started to eat me, but since they didn't really have mouths, it was more that the voids where their mouth should be were sucking and pulling at my flesh repeatedly until they began ripping chunks of it off me.
Then I woke up. Almost all my dreams are this cheery.

I haven't had a dream set in the GC-verse, but Tom has figured twice in my dreams as himself (or as much of himself as he can be when I don't actually know him), and Coyote featured prominently in a dream I had not too long ago (I think it may have been after we knew Coyote would be in chapter 26 but before he actually appeared in it). The dream went something like this:
In a sketchy fantasy world (of sorts) (probably), Coyote was a god not only of trickery but of entertainment in general. I was a kind of wandering priest of his, going from village to village and acting as prankster, storyteller and stand-up comedian. All of us were constantly trying to one-up each other and competing for Coyote's attention; I remember I had a staff and looked somewhat like a spiky-haired hero from some anime series (I am not proud of this particular fact). Recently, another person in these ranks had fallen out of favour with Coyote, and since I had spoken out in his (or her?) favour, the same fate had now befallen me. In my dream I made a passionate speech on the injustice of the whole deal, and what I remember about this plea was that it was so desperate and sincere, as if there's nothing more heartbreaking in the world than having the one you want to impress most of all turn away from you. (I'm thinking there may be parental issues at work here.)

I've had two GC dreams lately.
The first was not actually set in the Court, it was in this manga I read about a glorified pub named Fairy Tail. Except that for some reason Jack was working behind the bar and I was all "Jack can't work behind the bar! He has no relevant work experience" and then everyone else was all "No, you see Jack has lots of relevant work experience from working as a steward on a Spanish airline." Then the face-spider turned out to be a gerard, which was infuriating because people turning out to be gerards is a very overdone twist in Fairy Tail and I thought Tom was above that.
The other was completely GC and I remember thinking right after I woke up how coherent and logical it all was but it's all gone now. All I remember is that they were on (another) residential trip to some abandoned school gym or other and there was a ghost and everyone on the forums had concluded that the ghost was a dead alternate-dimension version of Mr Donlan. I still don't know where you all got that theory from.

"Jack can't work behind the bar! He has no relevant work experience" This is the best dream quote ever. Forget the fact that he's 12 and it would be illegal I had a dream the other day which I meant to type up pronto then immediately forgot to do so, so now I can only remember the end. Coyote is living in a house that looks remarkably like the villa from FarmVille, and Ysengrin also lives there, but he's a ghost, he looks a bit like Mort. Annie goes into the house and Ysengrin haunts her, but then she eavesdrops on Ysengrin and Coyote having a conversation about how Ysengrin is cursed to be a ghost until someone hugs him, and Ysengrin is upset because that's physically impossible, him being a ghost and all. Annie, being etherically gifted, can touch etheric things so she tackle-hugs him from behind, then there's all sparks, everything goes white, and I guess he comes alive again because that's when I woke up. I think that's what happened, anyway. Edit: When I say "there's all sparks", I don't mean the song of the same name starts playing. I mean sparks go everywhere.

This is the best dream quote ever. Forget the fact that he's 12 and it would be illegal A couple of years ago, there was a small news item in "British Heritage" about a 12-year-old boy in the UK who'd become a bartender (he must be older than that by now, of course); I'll have to look it up.
