Who're ya trying to kid,Donny?And yet again another contrast in Annie and Surma's personalities.Anthony seems to have disappeared again as well.Not-Jones has a not-Jones personality too.I wonder if she is even truly significant to the plot at all.The chances of her being or not being significant seems to be about 60/40 in my opinion.

I am eagerly awaiting the chance to learn not-Jones' name.
Anthony seems to have vanished. I wonder just what his position in the group was. Or whether he was actually part of it at this point- maybe he was just included in Team Surma for the purpose of the photo.

Not-Jones also seems to be a foreign student. She probably used the same broken English to say what Anja was probably thinking. The following, Anja: Is so nice to have picture of friends! That Girl: You mean a picture of Donny! which she probably could have used, probably wouldn't have had the same effect. |

I don't know about you guys but I would've fallen in love with Anja before Surma. Insecurity is a turn-off to most people. I wonder if it has something to with Surma suddenly changing to Anthony from Eglamore? |

Aw man, none of the girls seems to like proper English! Of at least the word "a". It's kind of funny.
Surma: "I bet I had on me serious face!"
Anja: "Is nice to have picture of friends!"
Other: "You mean picture of Donny!"
I agree with biggerj, here - the other girl's imitation of Anja is probably done for the laughs, and probably not because she, too is foreign. But Surma's grammatical lapse surprises me.

Surma has an accent that can be heard in certain areas of England (maybe in the north? I have a friend from the north who speaks like this). I think Tom mentioned that once (someone please find quote).

Yeah, the most I could really see her being is the parent of one of the minor characters like Janet. Why are people so obsessed about the mystery girl being related to anyone we know? Who says she is? If her character is of any importance to the story, it probably would be because of what she does or what happens to her, not who she is related to. |
