Interesting that she seems to sympathize somewhat with the questioning mindset, like with Tony, Kat and even the Court. She has no real positive feelings about either of them, I would imagine. (As has been stated in this thread: she punched Tony, saw Kat as a terrifying Bird-Mecha Goddess; and the court has never been really welcoming to her.) Yet, she sympathizes somewhat.
It kinda feels to me that she used to have the same mindset once. Like Tony trying to find an explanation for this awful situation (for Tony Surma's death, for Zimmy her condition) and failing; and now she feels like she is beyond that mindset now. The world has just some parts that are not understandable; and she has accepted that.

Zimmy said 'this world' and not 'the world.' Could be casual dialog, could be a reference to the etheric world, could be a subtle hint around the location of the Court, could be some or all of the above.

The Court is getting its funding cut, due to either Brexit or general austerity measures. But probably Brexit, given the timing. Coyote arranging his own death, Loup attacking the Court, the root system allowing access to the Court to whichever Forest creature wishes to come - that was all just an elaborate ploy to a) relocate as much of the Forest into the Court's footprint while b) 'proving' that at least some funding is still absolutely necessary. That would explain the chapter's title, at least. |

Somehow, I don't think Kat is EVER going to go for the "Hey, don't worry about it, it's just un-explainable!" line. She's literally building robot muscles!
