I wonder if Zimmingham-splits are the same as Louplication. Probably close enough for Zimmy to fix it. Not knowing the difference might help, actually.

WHAT THE!! CURVEBALL, I did not see this coming at all. This chapter seems to be going in a lighter tone also, with those faces in the last panel, so I'm loving it!

Why bother fixing it, it’s no big deal Welcome to the forum! I'd actually be fine with two Antimonies running around permanently. I don't think Kat would be okay with it, and Antimonies might not be okay with it either. Zimmy doing it would solve the issue of doing this in a non-destructive way, actually, because if Kat did it these Antimonies would be sent back to time-lines in the ether which would at some point cease to exist in any meaningful sense from the perspective of this reality... Just pronounce the usually silent "p" when you say it and you'll see that the word is perfectly cromulent.

How many run-ins has Zimmy had with Saslamel?

LAUGHING ON LINE Zimmy gots time powers.
Still need at least two Annies to allow Loup to fulfill his promise of getting Scruffy out of the psychopomp deal, though. So I doubt it's getting fixed.

"Seen it before"? Where? In Zimmy's nightmare world? There were a lot of Jacks, but it probably was not the same thing. In any case, many pages (including the one I linked to) show that neither Zimmy nor Gamma immediately realize when they are in Birminghell instead of the material world. Who knows what she means.
(Also by the way, did Annies ever try to reach the Temporal Affairs department?)

IIRC, Loup promised to swat the psychopomps away like flies, so it seems he has another plan of getting Annie out of the deal.

Enjoying Zimmy's smug smile in the last panel.
"how you was split" Hmmm, so does she know it is not really a splitting, but more a time-shifting? She seems unaware that neither of the two Annies is the original Annie. I can see splittings happen in Zimmingham, but wonky time stuff less so.

Seems like evidence that Zimmy and Loup have more similarities, I think? Like, they both have amazing powers that they don't know how to control, due to being new beings. The difference is that Zimmy's powers are constrained by a normal human lifespan, while Loup is working with Coyote having modified certain memories. Still, they both have this whole Demigod thing going on.

Zimmy's powers can alter reality. It doesn't really matter if she's ever encountered this sort of dubbing before (and she probably hasn't) because if she knows she can fix it she can (probably) do it. From Kat's point of view Zimmy reuniting/fixing Antimonies' Louplication would probably be incredibly dangerous as Zimmy has (again, from Kat's perspective) zero grasp of the technical aspects of what she's doing. "Loup" would probably consider Zimmy to be demonic and an abomination though I think he would admit that she has the power to do it. What he thinks about the way she does it and if she should do it is another issue.

I think that Zimmy is wrong here-while she's experienced something similar maybe, I doubt she actually has seen something like the Annies' shifting.

People talking about "fixing" the split are kind of missing the point, right? "fixing" the split would either involve fusing the two of them (which is arguably comparable to death) or sending them both away, which might be very bad as well depending on the timelines they were plucked from. I think that Zimmy is wrong here-while she's experienced something similar maybe, I doubt she actually has seen something like the Annies' shifting. You're almost certainly right. She uses the wrong term. "split" versus "shift." And even if she has seen something exactly comparable, there's no saying she has a good understanding of what it is and/or how to fix it.

"fixing" the split would either involve fusing the two of them (which is arguably comparable to death) or sending them both away, which might be very bad as well depending on the timelines they were plucked from. Indeed! Very much so on that last bit because (according to Skippy) alternate timelines usually aren't, one interpretation would be that they seem to exist in the ether only so long as they're needed for something (like a support structure for the existing Gunnerverse). I think Kat would have a very tough time of solving the "wrong Antimony" problem in a non-destructive way if she could do it at all. ...Though on some level I am sorta hoping for a Kat-based "solution" that involves an internal-to-Antimony correction that results in one Antimony that experienced everything that Courtnie and Fannie did... but has 2x mass. I think it can work exactly because Zimmy has no idea what was done or how it should be "fixed." She knows she can do something about it and she has the power to alter reality, just like "Loup" didn't really know what he was doing when he made another Antimony, just that he had the power to do it. If Zimmy thought she should be able to fix it or could possibly fix it if she checked on a few things then I'd be worried. [edit] I should add that Zimmy hasn't actually said that she can "fix" the multiple wrong Antimonies problem (yet) just that she has seen it before and that it's not a big deal. [/edit]

Zimmy's final panel smug smile is somehow more unsettling than her usual "I'm a member of Gorillaz" smile.
It's very impish, while implying "I know something you don't."
Ruling out flat-out lying for the sake of my sanity, I do wonder if she actually does know what she's talking about. Fixing things the "wrong way" could potentially be worse for Annie (but great for keeping the story going).
I'm inclined to agree that "shifted" and "split" aren't the same thing.
I was under the impression that there was a Forest-Annie Universe, a Court-Annie Universe and a third Universe. (Greg?) So, Forest and Court are now stuck in Greg, Greg's Annie is.... somewhere or nowhere, and both F-Universe and C-Universe currently don't have Annies. One of those universes is the "Prime" Universe.
(* not where giant robots or shipping boxes come from, but the original timeline)
If so, the Zimmy-verse would be a fourth universe, totally unrelated from the other universes that Salsa-Mel was talking about.
Being stuck in Zimmy-land could be worse than being shifted. (Assuming Zimmy wants to "fix" things.)

Wait, why are people acting like Zimmy just offered to help Annie out with her "splitting" problem? She didn't. At least, that wasn't the first impression I got - it looked to me as if Zimmy's just seen this sort of phenomenon before, and she's telling the Annies so because people (in this case, Kat) tend to be a lot more scared & panicky over stuff they think is unprecedented. That is to say, Kat is clearly making a really huge deal about this, but for Zimmy stuff like what she's seeing right now is just part of her daily life, and therefore not worth stressing about quite so much. I mean, even ignoring Zimmy's nightmare-warping powers, she's also technically a student in Chester house, where freakish and macabre phenomena are commonplace.
None of that necessarily means that she knows how to fuse Annie back together! It's like...I don't know. If you live in a really bad neighborhood, or a war-torn region or something, you might be used to the sound of gunshots outside your window, but that doesn't automatically mean you're an expert on making people stop shooting each other. In fact, you might think that the whole notion of trying to stop it is kind of ridiculous, precisely because you're so used to it happening! ...ok I guess that was a bit of a dark analogy, but this Zimmy we're talking about here, so maybe a dark analogy is appropriate. And it gets the point across, I hope.
It'd be nice if Zimmy could use her powers to help Annie, like she did in Divine, but that's not really how I'd expect it to go, based on just this page! I figure maybe she'll share a story or two about other people who had this happen to them (maybe Jack was a similar case? " You're the last one we need" sounds kind of like a bunch of time-selves merging to me), and then the scene might shift back to Kat so we can see what she's really been up to, and whether Zimmy's advice can be helpful or not.

I am even more convinced now that Zimmy's Birmingham is time-dimensional shenanigans similar to how these double-Annies are time-dimensional shenanigans. Word of Tom: Zimmy creates/alters reality but also she is kind of perceiving already-there realities (stuff that happened in the past and/or stuff that will happen in the future). So possibly yeah, her asking about Kat breaking up may be premonition..? Dunno. Kat and Paz have been reasonably stable until now.

"Har! Dragon zombie cyborgs? Not a big deal. Seen 'em before. Turn up every other day, actually." "Giant spiders crawling out ouf the walls? Meh. Been there. Done that." "Surrounded by people without faces all day? Welcome to my life!" "'Course Gamma and I seen some poor sod getting split before...right through his head and torso! Hey, I grew up in Birmingham!" "You been split in two? At least that Loup guy did it right. We got a guy in Chester with two heads on one body!"

Word of Tom: I just realized ... since we are seeing Z+G in Zimmigham a few years in the past on that page (before Zimms + Gamma moved to the Court), the Zimmster is having a distorted look at the future imprisoned Rey (chapter 3) - so the WoT makes perfect sense now!

Looking at that page again, Renard's arm appears to be cybernetic or robotic. I think everyone saw that at the time but assumed (after they saw Rey imprisoned) that it was just things smearing together in her visions. Not sure if anyone's wildly speculated it yet or not but it may mean Kat will build Renard a body at some point in the somewhat-near future.

I don't know, I would prefer if Renard returned to his own body one day... I like these wild-specs. I am proud of us! Other idea: - Robot steals Arrow technology, tries to steal Renard's body; Renard has to steal a robot's. - The fox body in the forest has some other complex role. I these wild-spec topics will all be related to this transfer of ownership and its eventual explanation and eventual resolution ('terms and conditions do apply'). Also got to note Robot's premonition that Arthur is the 'first of US', viz., including Robot. Robot isn't like Arthur quite yet, but he is talking as if he's in the category.
