Hum, what's up with the flushed faces? Break up got heated? Lots of yelling involved I would think. Really curious what this is about.

So, finally, Kat fell for Silvannie?
PS: Well, I indeed was exactly hearing this, when this page came so, duuuuuude
Sorry, Paz...
PS2: Well, seeming that Annies(co) came chatting up, maybe a fast forward of about a couple months just happened, so the Elves are already set in the Court (Tom's gonna just flashback through this) and
A) Kat just clicked on with a very-handsome, very-nerdy guy/gal, so PazKat ship just Titanic-ed or
B) Paz is about to leave the Court/the current vecinities, so she asked Kat to go with her, with Kat not wanting to leave her friends,... or her robots...

I'm not going to panic until we're all sure this isn't what it looks like.
Cos if it is then the fallout could be.. very bad.

It doesnt have to be a breakup (even though it looks like one), it can also be something that Kat did that really hurt Paz. Valueing Research over animal life or something - something Kat would do, and Paz wouldnt approve. At all. And also something that could lead to a breakup...
Is it me, or does this look like it doesnt last either way?

No matter what's happening, it really hurts to see Paz like that.

That's what you get for not using your capabilities (again). Renard could tell Annies what goes on, if only they called him.

There have been a couple of hints dropped that Kat has some things in her mind. here and here, for instance. Maybe we'll get to the bottom of it now?

Is it me, or does this look like it doesnt last either way? Paz has been very open about her ok-ness with animal research before, so I doubt it will be down to anything like that. But seeing her face this upset is heartbreaking. I can't imagine anything that has been hinted at previously leading up to this though, Kat looks angry while Paz looks upset, what did Kat do?! Although we have missed like 6 months of time in which anything could have happened I guess! Was there another time skip while the Annies were in the forest again?

It's possible that Paz's threats to Annie were revealed. Even with good intentions, she still went behind Kat's back to threaten Kat's friend. That's worth some scrutiny.
That's not to say I think this is what's going on, but it's the only context I have for why the two might be at odds at the moment. It very easily could be a number of other things. It would make sense, at least, if this speculation was accurate.

Huh. It appears I am the only commenter so far who does not feel sorry for Paz (yes, I am still annoyed because of her threatening Annie).
Anyway, maybe they just played a brutal round of Mario Kart?

countdown until annie/s make it worse Not sure they even have to say anything for that. Just the two of them being there probably isn't going to help. This does look like a break up, maybe Paz realized Kat's obsession with Annie went deeper than she first thought. Like if Kat came up with a crazy plan to try and find the original Annie, the one who belongs in this timeline.

This and Eily's comments made me rethink if maybe I am looking at it wrong. What if Kat wants to get rid of both Annies in an exchange for the real one, Paz finds out and confronts her for trying to "kill" her friends...

My shot in the dark...
Paz is upset because Kat kept her out of the effort to free Jeanne, and didn't tell her about it until now.

Kat was really skittish about letting Juliette get even a hint of what went on with that. It's possible Annie hasn't told her that Anthony and Jones are aware of it, I can't see her telling Paz about it despite how close they've been.

I am honestly not very invested in this break-up considering how the relationship barely played a factor since the whole reveal arc. Paz is the definition of a "Satellite Love Interest" and I get that it's sort of the point given Kat's character, but whenever she pops up I don't think "oh cool, Paz". I just go "oh, Tom remembered she existed, wonder if Gamma and Zimmy are next". There have been a couple of hints dropped that Kat has some things in her mind. here and here, for instance. Maybe we'll get to the bottom of it now? This and Eily's comments made me rethink if maybe I am looking at it wrong. What if Kat wants to get rid of both Annies in an exchange for the real one, Paz finds out and confronts her for trying to "kill" her friends... I'm turning towards that. Especially since Tom has sidelined Kat a bit for a while and he has kept us from her internal monologue, which we always were at least somewhat privvy to - the most natural reason for that is because she's thinking about something DARK.

Kat would probably have to access the ether in order to do that. It sometimes happens, but she cannot do it at will. I wonder... has Kat been trying to gain better control of her etheric form, and messed something up?

What if Kat wants to get rid of both Annies in an exchange for the real one, Paz finds out and confronts her for trying to "kill" her friends... And then Kat finds out that this timeline's Annie has been dead since chapter 8, page 124, her body long since carried away by the Annan waters.
Then she grabs a new one from another timeline and the time loop hula-hoop can continue for another round.

I mean, she has no idea what her Etheric form looks like except for a quick drawing Annie made. But I wonder whether Paz ever asked Kat what the frag that was (If she did, she took her time, since it seemed Annie's drawing was the first look Kat got at herself.).

Paz is upset because Kat kept her out of the effort to free Jeanne, and didn't tell her about it until now. Very good theory. Maybe the Jeanne team didn't tell anyone else so far (except those we've seen), and by now people (including Paz) have started to ask questions.

But I wonder whether Paz ever asked Kat what the frag that was (If she did, she took her time, since it seemed Annie's drawing was the first look Kat got at herself.). Kat has already done something similar, with only Diego's drawings for company. And it worked, kind of. I wouldn't count "seeing an elf with his hands stuck in a big padlock" as "control", the device only performed with Annie already in the ether, and in any case it did not actually work (see panel 4; not only did it not do what it was designed for, but it also did something completely different instead). It's just that this once the consequences of failure turned out to be beneficial, making the failure itself easy to ignore. I can see Kat doing just that and pressing on with her work until another, more serious, failure occurs. It would need to be a failure which affects Paz, or things she holds dear. Does accessing the ether mess with Kat's head in some way, like it does with Zimmy's? If so, does Paz relieve the symptoms, like Gamma does for Zimmy? If so, would Paz willingly take up that role to the extent Kat requires it, or indeed at all?

Like if Kat came up with a crazy plan to try and find the original Annie, the one who belongs in this timeline. Maybe, Kat's been monitoring the Carver Twins, via the frozen shield robots, and has a wall of Annie pics somewhere. If Paz found that, it might not matter to her, if something was going on or not. Having a room/wall dedicated to another woman(one you're very close to) is never a good look. Anyway, maybe they just played a brutal round of Mario Kart? The next panel will have Paz growl "Blue... shell...", then storm off. I think we can all empathize.
