I agree, especially because this new role is far more important than his previous one, even if post- mortem. Ah, too bad that, being in Mexico (outside of the Court's field of influence!), I don't think book and comic stores near where I live will be able to get a copy in for me. Oh, well. It seems that Amazon US is the way to go.

I've already managed to find a place here in Upside-Down Land that sells ALL of the volumes.

He's clearly been taking lessons from Billy Mays. And now I want a Billy Mays/Mort parody.

I noticed that Mort has taken over the Twitter page again, so he's Not Quite Dead Yet. It's funny because when you change your Twitter handle, it also changes old posts as well, so Mort is saying stuff like, "Looks like I might also be going to Anime NYC and NYCC this year too!" and I'm thinking, "Good for you, Mort."

Mort’s addition was so funny it genuinely did make this page worth it.

You'd be surprised. It's worth checking larger comic stores and the like. Not on this country. Here, the larger "comic stores" are actually mainstream chains, like Sanborns and Walmart. Lately, Panini Comics has been opening several Panini Point stores, which is a step in the right direction, and their releases are sold at other stores as well (though they're a little on the expensive side). Even here on Mexico City, true comic stores are few and far between, are independent business and small in size, and the ones that do exist focus on big name publishers (Marvel, DC, Archie, Dark Horse), as well as popular and current manga franchises (DB/DBZ, Saint Seiya, Naruto, One Piece, Bleach...). And, while it's possible to see "rare" releases (such as those from Udon) and artbooks (like the ones from Shonen Jump, Bandai, Capcom or Nintendo) in those stores (as well as in Gamers and Game Planet, the two largest video game retailers here in Mexico), they commonly sell them for at least double or triple their original price - the same applies to video games (both vintage and current), statues, trading cards, and similar collectibles as well. As I said, Amazon (or eBay/Mercado Libre) is the way to go.

I've found more than a few hard-to-find books on Abebooks though prices can vary tremendously from seller to seller. Some large sellers set prices automatically via inventory management/auto-listing software which can lead to ridiculous prices when there are few or only one of a given title.

Even if it is post mortem. Err... Post Mortem mortem? Post post mortem? Argh. Mort is a very difficult character right now He's also aware of the Fourth Wall now, which suggests some interesting possibilities. Of course, I'm fairly certain other characters have done aside glances (I'd have to check all 2000 pages), and Coyote was aware that he was a fictional character. But it's fun to think that Mort can have an, um, afterlife even after his character arc is dead.
