They're near where they wanted to be, at least. I think we're doing the thing where everyone makes the thread and then deletes the thread again.

Since when do the page posts have a timestamp on them? I'm all for it personally; it was a little more involved in the past to figure out the day a page was posted (had to find the corresponding discussion thread, if it existed). Also if it's a mistake, I regret bringing it up, hah.

It's a really good thing Annie's fire only burns what she wants it to burn.

Courtney: "This nest is mainly wood and paper, right?" [Points finger at wall] Eglamore: "No, Carver. Wait!" Courtney's finger: "BSSH!!" [sets off an inferno] Fannie: "... This is probably fine."

OR he could say " NO"… Yeah. Explains what's up, right away, just like that. It's a really good thing Annie's fire only burns what she wants it to burn. …as long as she remembers to burn things off faster than they'll burn on their own? [sets off an inferno] Fannie: "... This is probably fine." Ha. 😂

I'm glad to see them returning to their mission. (Though I suspect that the question of "What will they do with those objects when they find them?" will be a much bigger challenge than handling the wisps.)

"We'll get you a place to stay, with real food full of tracking nanites."
Fixed that for you, Eglamore, my man.
Although, just in case, here, have an alternative:
"We'll get you a place to stay, with real food. I hear the Court jail's canteen even uses organic ingredients!"

Yes Annie, the tracker is still working, somehow it didn't fall for the wisps' illusion and didn't get a black eye from one of it's neighbours.

Tom's comment made me laugh. Though, you do have to be careful not to disturb a nest. Being swarmed by a rustle of paperboys is no laughing matter. *shudder*

I'm waiting for a doggy-5 moment between the three fire users. Fire team? Annies and Rey is a bit clunky, they need some sort of name.

Also if it's a mistake, I regret bringing it up, hah. Yeah it's new, first I noticed it myself was on the 19th and according to archive.org captures (shoutout to whoever it was that's been trying to archive the comments that way) it happened between then and the 16th. For what it's worth though, the date info's always (as far back as I can remember, 2013 or so) been in the comic page as the tooltip for the mailto link right underneath the comic itself. (Amusingly enough I think if you go back to like 2007 or so, when the logo was still a large textured 3d-ish rectangle, the dates were directly visible back then, too. So maybe it'd be very not-new actually)

A bit odd that only ONE of the artifacts is there. I sort of expected them to still be together?

How well will these artifacts stand up to flame? One is a container of water, which is problematic if it gets too hot or if the container is flammable. I forget what the other is.

Yea, i don't understand why answer for "(...) you'll lock me up?" is "Don't worry (...) we will get you a place to stay, with real food"... these ideas are not mutually exclusive, actually they go pretty hand in hand assuming that your prison has rather good food...

I could see a more formal version being "Assuming what you say is true, you've earned respect and the worst we'll do is lock you up and provide for you until you and we agree that we can safely send you back to the forest. However we'd rather have an ally than a prisoner."

I do wonder what sort of dungeon Idra is imagining, considering that she spent months eating giant bugs just to avoid getting captured.
Until I looked at the comments, I sort of took Eggy at his word. Now I am picturing a little doghouse with "Idra" on it.

A bit odd that only ONE of the artifacts is there. I sort of expected them to still be together? I can think of two possible explanations: 1. The Court decided to separate them (maybe fearing that it was a bad idea to keep two objects connected to Coyote close together), or: 2. They were separated during the destruction caused by the tree's rapid growth.

They were separated during the destruction caused by the tree's rapid growth. Or one of them has actually been destroyed. One of them is a glass phial full of "lake water," for what it's worth. If it's ended up spread out enough, it might not be a strong enough signal for the tracker to pick up?
(And then the wisp nest woke up and remembered that it was Coyote too)
