It looks like... But why does the forest even have one?
Dont get me wrong, its nice to have a Paz. But Paz is rather rooted in the court, with her being the guardian of the squeeky little things.

Wot with all the talking to animals they do, I'd say that all them green forest folks are Pazzes in one sense. Just not in terms of accent.

There's squeeky things in the woods. And there was a wisp that was probably squeeking a lot last page, too. But seriously, Smitface probably vectored in Forest!Paz because she's got some sort of talent or learned skill (or item, I suppose) that helps her with wisp mind control. And if it's a skill with animals in general then the Forest!Paz joke will be joke no longer.

Wisps who live in webbed houses shouldn't predate on fire elementals.

Observation of no real significance: Renard could sense that the Antimonies were close by and sure enough, they were (see panel 4, today's comic).

I do not understand why everyone is talking about Paz now? What I see is obviously an Anwyn woman (obvious because of colour, ears, fashion and accent), who neither looks nor talks or behaves like Paz. Let's see whether Annie has gotten good enough to burn the webs off everyone, or just herself.
Interesting to see more or less the same visual effect as when Jeanne broke free from her illusion.
Seeing how the wisps must have controlled their victim's sensory impressions almost completely, even giving them the illusion of walking around while they were really tied up - I wonder why they included empty wisp hives in their illusory world at all? Why give their victims this unnecessary hint who their real adversaries are?

If that is a forest Paz that's got them out of this mess a la Bilbo, then maybe the Annie collective will need to eat a bit of humble pie?

Perhaps it's because they are unable to override knowledge/information that people already had going in? I suppose that the group would have known prior to going in that they were headed into a wisps' nest.

That's about it. It is, it really is just that, the haircut. People want to categorize. Onto the page: maaaaaaaaaaaan those wisps are in TROUBBBBBLLLLLLLEEEEE. But now I'm wondering: what was all the fighting about? Why would they fight each other in mind-space, what good would that do to the little buggers?

What I see is obviously an Anwyn woman (obvious because of colour, ears, fashion and accent), who neither looks nor talks or behaves like Paz. Her hair looks slightly like Paz's hair. It's just a dumb joke. Of course everyone really knows she's Eglamore. Seeing how the wisps must have controlled their victim's sensory impressions almost completely, even to giving them the illusion of walking around while they were really tied up - I wonder why they included empty wisp hives in their illusory world at all? Why give their victims this unnecessary hint who their real adversaries are? It may be the case that this entire chapter has been a wisp-generated illusion, but at some point the intrepid explorers probably were aware of wisps and possibly wisp hive(s). The wisps would have better chances of deceiving everyone if they blended in the truth instead of just forcing a complete falsehood on everyone. But now I'm wondering: what was all the fighting about? Why would they fight each other in mind-space, what good would that do to the little buggers? I don't think the wisps are the brawling type. They probably had Cvet or Parley clobber Forest!Paz when she interfered with what they were doing, most likely Parley, and probably before they had them webbed up.

Yep.
Also, when did wisps get introduced?
I forget.

Always mixing truth with lies!" Yes, I think you are right. If some of the team were already considering the possibilty of wisps having nested in the area, the actual wisps might have decided this version was the more realistic. Of course, having them encounter "actual wisps" would have been even more realistic...unless... the illusion has more than one layer, and the wisps seen now are not even the real ones, but an elaborate trick to make the team think they have successfully broken free and defeated their enemies!
I mean...the illusion already seemed to have had more than one layer. Or how could Parley have been hit with a thrown rock/lump of clay, if they are all tied up? (Granted, we have not yet seen whether Cvet is also stuck in the webs, but her attempt at flying showed that she was deep inside the illusory world as well.)

Not sure if anyone was really hit by a rock/clod thrown by Cvet but if they can't trust their perceptions then that means their sense of time is also suspect.

There's also a good chance the group saw the inside of the building/wisp cave before entering it and falling under the wisps' control. In that case they'd be expecting to see wisp hives in the illusion, so including them made it less likely they'd realize what was going on. It's similar to how to tell convincing lies: use as much truth as possible. If nearly everything is true, people are less likely to realize part of it's a lie. It also helps the liar keep their story straight, because they have fewer changes to remember.

I don't get it... if they are bound to the walls... how could they throw stones to each other or beat each other?

But if no one was hit by a thrown object, why would the wisps simulate it at all (if not, as I said previously, to give our friends the illusion of having broken the illusion)?
I don't get it... if they are bound to the walls... how could they throw stones to each other or beat each other? Parley seems free enough to at least use her ams and hands somewhat, Cvet might be in a similar state.
