So it seems like we know that all of the monsters are just distortions of some non-monster characters we already know, except for that green jumping one (which seems to coincide with the big monster in the last panel)? Let's call it the "initial monster". Who could it be? Who isn't accounted for yet? It's clearly a fighter, but also one who doesn't wish to fight with Parley, but who also doesn't realise yet that all monsters are just distortions. Who hasn't shown up yet?

Quick reminder who that is? The Minotaur. Oh yes of course! Would explain the horns! (And the maze?!) The last transformation would basically be his appearance getting closer to his real form. Also, it would be very Tom-ish to bring back a character from the beginning. |

I understand how you're feeling, it's been a lot of pages to explain that everything is distorted, and not a lot of character development or jokes. The stakes aren't even that high, because they've very quickly realized what's going on, so Parley isn't going all stabby on potential buddies. I still think something even bigger is going on right beneath our noses, but we'll see. |

I guess this a classic example of a chapter that will read fine in a printed book but drags when two or three days are between each page. I, for one, am looking forward to re-reading the chapter as a whole once it is finished and all reveals have happened. Until then my (irrelevant) judgement will be withheld.

I wonder if we'll ever see things from Greenie's POV(flashback). I'm assuming they figured out someone wasn't who they appeared to be. Or someone took something way too seriously.

I am starting to loose interest in this arc. I hope it makes sense after the reveal, because right now it is too random - all the time. Ditto. The first page in this chapter that had me anticipating the next one was the one where Eglamore asked Courtnimony why she was being testy. Finally some overdue confrontation and character development instead of all these confusing action scenes. |

Yeah, in terms of giant hand monsters, I think we're (figuratively speaking, not literally) back to the bottom of this comic. That fist in #2185 is clearly somebody or something leaping at Parley, and then it reforms into a creature. And now it's happening all over again. |

"Rashomon" was fairly straight-forward compared to this. (EDIT: I mean, with "Rashomon," at least you know who got killed ... )
Incidentally, if the wisps are trying to keep the team away from the artifacts, mission accomplished. Everybody seems to have forgotten their initial purpose.
Wild Spec: When the Scooby Doo scene arrives, Mr. Green is the good guy. Red shirt is a wisp spy.
