Well, he would have helped but something interrupted him. (starts looking up gurdigs)

The talk of Wisp mindgames is making me think they were all separated because they will be easier to turn on one another. Prediction: This will backfire with two out of three groups, but C!Annie and Eglamore have already started on the wrong foot and it'll go downhill from there.

Yeah, Renard. Pitch in and help your tank rather than hang out with us in the Ether, like some Foley fairy, yarning about mind altering wisps.

If the wisps trap them in a maze of illusions, it would be so awesome to have Gunnerkrigg's Minotaur make an appearance to help them out.

"Gurdig" may be a made-up name but if you write it in greek characters it apparently translates into an unpleasant word. "Gurdiga" is a very uncommon Moldovan surname. What little the internets are giving me tonight seem to be pointing towards eastern/southeastern European origin, maybe. May possibly mean "grinder." "Erdig" is pretty close, means "earthy."

With illusions possibly being used, I wonder if the "fighters" will end up fighting each other, thinking that each of their groups are the enemey. The "telepaths" will have to figure out that their descriptions are oddly lining up.

Anyone else failed to understand straightaway that the "bit off" part was not litteral?
Also if the wisps do turn people against each other, I really hope that does not include the Annies.

chapter icon spotted. So as wisps play with everyone's minds, what led them to get separated? DID they actually get separated?

I've been wondering when the "perspective" part of this chapter would show up.
WildSpec: The groups aren't as separated as we think they are. So, while the Annies have been chatting with Rey, Eggy starts exploring .... and encounters a female gurdig (* or something) or at least, that's how it appears from his perspective ... he fights it, loses ... etc.
EDIT: Or, Eggy could be just standing around at the bottom of #2174. Nevermind.
Maybe the gurdig is real, just to demonstrate that the situation is in fact dangerous... then the crazy "I thought you were a kobold" shenanigans start happening.
Whatever happens, everything we see in wispworld should be considered suspect, or at least true "from a certain point of view."
