The lines going into the centre of the brown space do look vaguely similar tot he lines on kat's angel face. Makes sense, since she pushed the button to wake Arthur up. That could arguably be her creating life for the first time. (All she's done with Robot is transfer his CPU from body to body.) She's also taken life before (the ship), so now she's done both creation and destruction, as well as having worshipers, all very god-like. |

My 2 cents: Reality is warping during the process but will appear to return to normal once it is done. Everyone except Kat will be horrified by what they see/experience. Kat will be all "Wut?"...

[EDITed:] and more than that... - the mechanical unit next to the pod with the attachment cord has vanished (?? possibility A) - or just its cord and top box vanished and it has been displaced to the right (? possibility B) - the second mechanical unit next to the pod (at a bit more distance) is gone (warped out of frame?? possibility B) or is strangely unaffected (possibility A) - Kat, the Annies, and Rey are gone (ditto? or they just ran away when the warpage started??) - the pod door is not open (HAL forgot? being surly as usual?) - and yes, the panel on the wall is gone (or warped thru the wall??) I think possibility B is more likely, since the remaining mechanical unit post-stream-venting is clearly a stack of two modules. some serious reality/spatial distortion going on, or something even weirder?? Monday beckons with a boatload of puzzles to answer... |

That looks an awful lot like a gateway. I'm wondering if psychopomps will pop out to speak with Kat (thus a "new contract"), or if it's a gateway to the Ether ( like with Mort) and a "drop" of "soul?" will pop out. General rule of thumb though, when a reality warping gateway appears, nothing good is coming out unless you're Team Yog-sothoth. Y'ai'ng'ngah Yog-sothoth h'ee-l'geb f'ai throdog uaaah? |

I'm especially worried about Diego's sigil above the door. It looks like maybe he was into more than we knew; maybe we're about to learn more about it. |

What is even happening? That effect in the second to last panel could be some weird camera thing, but then it could be the archway suddenly trying to tumble down onto the pod? But then the last panel has the archway stretching? Or is it flopping backwards? Or are those cracks forming that look like folds? Or is the camera being wibbly again? I'm so confused as to what I'm supposed to be seeing. Usually when reality warping effects happen, the comic panel borders start warping too, and I guess the border to the left is slanted, so maybe warping is starting to happen?
