Looks like those guys still have a part to play in all this.

Just received this, and the first thing I think about is "Well that'd apply for the Annies, too."

Huh, and only now do I notice them lurking around on the previous page too. I love when Tom adds these things that we only notice when they are pointed out a few pages later.

Those honestly looked like vents on the roof until it was pointed out.

Also: "consolidated all [of Kat's equipment] into [her] computer" would mean she can use it to automate the fabrication of at least some robot parts, yes?

Does her computer now have the ability to manipulate matter remotely? Let's hope it doesn't gain sentience, then.

Put all the eggs in one basket? Nothing moderately inconvenient can come out of this. Also: "consolidated all [of Kat's equipment] into [her] computer" would mean she can use it to automate the fabrication of at least some robot parts, yes? More likely, non-robot parts. Does her computer now have the ability to manipulate matter remotely? Let's hope it doesn't gain sentience, then. Eh.

A little strange that she'd let them hang about after the whole Torn Sea incident, but I guess if they're gonna be hanging around you anyway you might as well make use of em. I'm a little sad to see the workshop go, it's been a setting for so long that seeing it empty again is weird. Still, really excited (and more than a little nervous) to see what progress Kat has made.

They kept lurking around her, trying not to be seen and failing to do so, so she has had enough of it and addressed them to help out instead of just following her as if she wasn't noticing Also: "consolidated all [of Kat's equipment] into [her] computer" would mean she can use it to automate the fabrication of at least some robot parts, yes? It can also automate the fabrication of friendship. Also, she can probably fly now but won't use it just so the robots don't get the wrong idea

The Courtwide state of emergency and the lack of other robots probably made the Seraphs much more useful to have around. They've got laser-beam eyes. Also time has passed, Kat has had some time to reflect, and Kat has a new reason to focus on her work for Juli and Art's sake. [edit] Even after rereading I'm still not sure if Kat just means that she's just using her system as a giant toolbox so the lab can be tidy and/or appear empty and uninteresting to anyone who might be spying, or if she's connecting them to aid with the design and construction process. I guess it depends on what "advanced" means.[/edit]

It might also be a case of "Better to have them where I can see them". (Though I do hope she watches what she says around them. The robots don't need to overhear further careless remarks and turn them into tenets of their religion; the ones they've adopted have caused enough trouble already.)

(I recently wondered why Shadow2 - who's been present at some of Robot's sermons and has looked uneasy about the direction they're taking - hasn't alerted Annie and Kat about this yet. My best guess is that he doesn't want to snitch on a close friend.)

Are we about to see the "physical" component of the computer? Given the tomb-like underground, it could be like a cathedral of AI robotics. I'm less worried about the computer becoming self-aware, and more worried about it becoming a part of her (or her becoming a part of it). She seems to be consolidating everything. What if the need "arises" (looking at the Seraph models), and she's forced to consolidate the computer interface and plug herself in?
Wild Spec: I've been wondering how Kat is going to give the Etheric spark to the robots. What if it's her spark? Coyote separated Annie in two. What if CyberKat can segment her soul among the robots?

She could analyze the Annies with that same wizardry she used to analyze Annie/Rey contract and reverse engineer the soul duplication and/or transfer using the arrow's soul trapping ability and a potentially "accidentally" copied body transfer ability from Reynard to replicate the Coyote/Loup skill without its direct data. Wildspec: she designed her supercomputer based on Annie's drawing (my profile pic) and description of her etheric appearance, making this self consolidation even more likely

(I don't really think so, but there's no cookie penalty for guessing wrong, so...)If so, from the robots' perspective, the (sometimes-mecha-looking)Angel would have designed and built a mecha-angel-looking computer... she will have designed- given birth to, really- herself. That is kinda way trippy.... (I knew I shouldn't have eaten that weird looking mushroom...)

Here's something to fuel some Annie Clone conspiracy theories:
Green Jacket* Annie has done all of the talking for the two Annies for the last few pages, (and most of the talking for them on the maglev).
* Not to be confused with Green Jacket Lupin.

The most surprising thing about this page is that NONE of the Seraphs are holding up giant-sized "ESPIONAGE NOT BEING CONDUCTED HERE" and "FORGET YOU EVER SAW US" signboards. The idea that they might actually be competent at sneaking and hiding now is...rather disturbing...
Also, another tantalizing mention of the "overridden" robots! When are we going to get exposition about those guys?!? What the hell makes them so menacing?!? What does their development mean for the robot community as a whole?!?

Kat's lab used to be Anja's. Have we ever learned whether Anja discovered the vault with Diego's inert robots? It seems odd that she would have simply left them uninvestigated, if she knew about them. Was she stopped by the Court, or was she not interested in them?
I suppose this has been chewed over a long time ago, but I wasn't around at that time.

The door to the vault had a padlock on it. We've seen no sign that Anja knew how to pick locks.

I wouldn't read too much into it; the short-haired Annie is the one who's been in the Court all this time and knows what Kat's been up to. It's the long-haired Annie who needs to be filled in.
