This also hits too close to home.

This also hits too close to home. If you drink less alcohol, you'll stay up and not see the unclean floor.

Most probably tomorrow would be Tea closing and not Mort's question. Darn, now I feel bad for him...

I always liked the sprawling, slightly junky, monotonous purple backgrounds of GKC. I actually prefer them to the forest - probably sounds weird but it’s true. I like when the characters are just hanging out in a random purple room and you’ve no idea where the room is or what it’s purpose is because GKC is a dreary place where every room looks the same. It’s delightfully dreary. Does that make sense? Haha, the way I’m explaining it doesn’t exactly make it obvious why somebody would enjoy that. I just like the purple.

To Shadow2: What was the biggest difference in your transition from the surface-based lifeforms to those in three dimensions? Thank you, Shadow, for answering my question. It spurs the follow-up question of if it hurt to be cast across rough areas, or if rough areas simply meant discontinuities in your body which might've hurt or otherwise been unpleasant.

Honestly, I shudder to imagine what it must be like seeing the world from floor level all the time. All the dust and grime... Then again, I suppose Shadow must just consider it normal. I bet he never cleans his room at Foley House, because it all looks super clean anyway by his standards.

"Dreary" artificial environments have their own kind of aesthetic appeal.

Honestly, I shudder to imagine what it must be like seeing the world from floor level all the time. All the dust and grime... And the feet. Figure he'd know people by their feet and footwear as much as their faces, maybe more so. When in a crowd he'd be surrounded by feet. When "shadowing" someone he'd be attached to their feet. Good thing he didn't have a nose.

But could he even see their feet if his eyes were flat and pointing straight up? Unless he was directly under their soles I mean. Shadow is interesting as a concept.

But could he even see their feet if his eyes were flat and pointing straight up? Unless he was directly under their soles I mean. Shadow is interesting as a concept. Assuming the person 2d Shadow II was shadowing was standing normally and all else held equal, the distance from wherever Shadow II saw from to the feet of the person would always have been shorter than the distance from where he saw from to the person's face (or to any other part of them, really). Perspective should have made the closest thing to wherever he sees from appear larger. I dunno if his eyes are decorative or functional but the foreshortening should have been more pronounced if he perceived with his entire form. As long as the floor or ground was reasonably flat then the same went for other nearby people. Of course when he had a wall to be on then we need to know where he saw from to figure what was closest, but since he was hiding back then he probably didn't do that when he could avoid it. It also would have been safer to stay on the floor, I think.
