Antimony seemingly arguing here from the position that "the great secret" isn't true.

Yeah, what's up with that? Either the stories had a direct impact in the "etheric creation" of Ysengrin and he's allowed to be upset about it (he's the kind of guy to hold on to a grudge WAAAYYYY too long), or they're just "tools" and everything Coyote told about how he came to be is a lie...
Or is Loup saying that the stories created Ysengrin in the past, but now the humans can't look farther than their noses (and stories) are long and won't see him in his NEW AND TOTALLY IMPROVED WOODFORM. Again coming back to the "holding on to a grudge" thing.

Annie has said before that myths and stories are tools for teaching. Regarding whether she believes "The Great Secret" to be true, I was under the impression that she regarded it as merely a theory of Coyote. She was not fully convinced.

Something about the way Antimony's shown in the last panel here makes me think of a Danganronpa protagonist. Can just picture that shot of her popping up onscreen with a yell of, "No, that's wrong!"

This page loops back around to what I asked in one of the previous threads.
Just how much hold does the ether have on these characters once they’re born from it? Sure, it seems to have a significant impact in a formative sense, but they also seem to have more or less free will and the ability to grow once they’ve been created based on personal experience.
Also, Tom’s.note at the end is the heartiest chuckle I’ve gotten all week. Same, Tom. Same.

Aright, the artwork is consistently beautiful but I'm about ready for this chapter to end!
If I was Ysengrin I would hate my life too.

Again coming back to the "holding on to a grudge" thing. They etheric version of nature vs nurture. I wonder how many identical twin deities there are in Tom's world? There are stories where Renard kills Isengrin, yet Ysengrin still lives, so maybe both Romulus and Remus are out there 'bro'ing it up. Kat needs to get them in a psych study, stat.

Conundrum: do human beliefs about whether/how human beliefs affect the ether, affect the ether?
