Loup's back is to us so we can't see his expression. Is he surprised, or was he goading her on purpose in order to bring the fire girl out and try and steal the fire spirit back for the forest?

So that's where she draws the line. I like how she keeps asking questions, she understands perfectly well there must be a catch. Or two.

I wonder if any of the stories about Antimony that have been circulating around the Wood have given her any etheric uplift. Maybe she's just pissed and more in touch with her inner fire than she used to be; perhaps she could even have enough mojo to make a good showing if it comes to a straight fight (which it probably won't, which is good). The stories about Ysengrin are stronger, of course, but are there any at all about a "Loup" person? I think someone said it before but Antimony with this current hairstyle really looks like Surma when she had her hair up in that comic.

We got fire hair ladies and gentlemen! Oh yeah she is back! And I love how fiercly loyal and loving she is to her friends. Ysengrin has supported and tutored and literary held her up. She knows he is unhinged (and now she knows why) but she won't let him go. Also, yes, maybe this is a trap to make her angry and one with the elemental side again, but if it is a trap Lup maybe biting more off than he can chew. He is not Coyote and I think he is trying to compensate by taking back all the bits and pieces of power Coyote stashed away for a rainy day. Which makes me wonder what exactly is Coyote's game about. He be aiming at what? Destroying the court? For once I am at a real loss about what is the purpose of Lup (I mean as a part of the story, a cog if you will in the narrative machine). Maybe he is a tool just for what we are seeing now. Annie whole again.

Annie ain’t having it.
To be fair, though I AM impressed by her willingness to tell Loup a thing or two, there’s a time and place to get righteously furious at an omnipotent god with whom you’re trying to negotiate, and... I’m not sure this is it.

Hey, you're right! Wood to fuel the fire...I never thought of that before. I wonder if it's intentional?

I wonder if any of the stories about Antimony that have been circulating around the Wood have given her any etheric uplift. Only if some of those who believed them have died since then and fueled the Ether (which is not unimaginable, since most animals don't live as long as humans). Loup does not need his own stories at the moment, he has inherited Coyote's and Ysengrin's powers.

Can't unsee Annie's hair acting as a jetpack in that last panel (especially with her pose)!

Let's hope this is controlled aggression. I think this is just sabre-rattling, and a show of honest loyalty. Annie could be in trouble otherwise. Though we can't be completely sure of Loup's strength, he's at least stronger than Ysengrin. Ysengrin's past attack caught Annie by surprise, and she's learned a lot since then(some from Ysengrin), but I still wouldn't consider a Ysengrin/Annie fight to be a sure thing. Wood could beat Fire depending on the circumstance. If this becomes a true duel, I think Annie would be in trouble against Loup.
Loup almost constant berating of Ysengrin is interesting from a character POV. Is it mocking a former person, or is it a kind of dissociative self-loathing? Is it mean or sad? Or both?

"Loup almost constant berating of Ysengrin is interesting from a character POV." Combination of coyote and ysengrin I think.
Ysengrin may have had poor self worth and played the part of the bully sometimes to deal with it, when Coyote made Annie see him when he was out of his wood and shaking/weak when catching a fish, Ysengrin was very upset.
Annie may be doing the right thing by helping build up Ysengrin's self worth. Ysengrin mentality is to put on an air of strength, establish dominance, hide his weakness. With coyote robbing his memories, he hasn't had much chance to instead face and overcome his weaknesses.

My biggest takeaway from this page is that jda seemed to really enjoy it.
Annie's outburst is entirely justified and in character, but I could see someone using an emotional outburst to hide what one's really thinking about this situation and give oneself time to think. In this case, I think Loup's offer is highly suspicious and stinks all the way to the zoo. From the last pages I think it's fair to say that he's trying to get... something out of Annie, and he's trying to maintain a friendly demeanor to do so, the latter of which he's utterly failing at. The question is what this "something" is. This outburst is the moment to consider the facts.
So what does Loup want out of Annie? I'm honestly at a loss here.

Yep... yep. Kinda her thing. -- So to recap, Loup has asked for... - Her to move to the forest forever
OR he'll destroy the court (but she can bring her playmates, how nice). It's a little concerning, because after he asked her what she wanted in exchange, she asked to speak to Ys, and he let her... I wonder if he'll try and take that as a yes. - Her to bring back the bone + the water "gifts" so he can supposedly be able to restore the forest
- Her to bring back Rey's power (and who am I kidding, Rey... even if he gets his body back, he wouldn't be able to return to the court)
IN EXCHANGE for him getting her out of her bind with the psychopomps. So many moving parts! And now she angry.

That, or the Werewolf (loup-garou) which would be less likely. This might mean Annie is playing the part of the girl with prominent red color on her head, who entered the treacherous forest alone, and may succeed in surviving where others have failed.
