She looks P.O.'d. Arms crossed and everything. And really, if you were her, wouldn't you be too? And what is that I spy behind Jonesy? Microsat 5 perhaps? Edit: screwed up the page number. I will feel this embarrassment for the rest of my lifespan.

With the way the lighting/coloring on her is, for a minute I thought the dirt on her clothes was blood.
Like, "Did Jones murder someone? In space?"

Ooh, she looks irritated and a little bit sad. I don't care if she's a stone, you gotta be a bit irritated at getting pitched into outer space just as things were getting interesting.

MS5 drawn a bit differently. Funnily enough, that chapter began around 1000 pages ago, or half the comic so far. I think it's just a generic satellite used to depict that yes, she is stuck in orbit and is definitely as pissed off as it's possible for her to be.

Jones is an indestructible object. I don't know a lot about physics, but if said extremely dense indestructible object fell from that height, wouldn't the Earth be in some trouble? At least regionally?

Nah, anything she did would be pretty localised. Stuff that does real damage like a meteor has either a stack more mass or a lot more speed than she would be able to generate from what I guess is a stable orbit.

At least regionally? Nah however Jones is in trouble, sorta. She won't mushroom (distort) but may accrue more rocks and dirt as she starts to slow down after impact but she's going to dig deep when she hits. ...from what I guess is a stable orbit. I'm thinking it's more like a ballistic arc. As high as it is, maybe within a few hundred feet of things in LEO, she might even get one or two orbits out of it but I sorta doubt it. I would love to plug numbers into this but I don't think I can (until I see where she hits, maybe).

It may be an optical illusion, but I swear I keep seeing the direction her eyes are looking change in my peripheral vision.

It's Star(wo)man Jones! (Kudos to anyone who gets the reference) Anyway, I expect that Jones has been pushed far enough out that she's now in geostationary orbit.

she might even get one or two orbits out of it It doesn't really work that way. If she's just ballistic (suborbital) she gets a semi-parabolic path and quick, hard landing. Also an orbiting satellite, like the one pictured would be passing her at great speed. It still may, for all we know. If she's orbiting there is very narrow margin between semi-stable orbit (some high degradation orbit, passing through high atmosphere at some point) when she gets a few circles and then fully entering atmosphere and dragging through it (loosing all non-heatshield-grade garments) before hard landing, and fully stable orbit, which could last her years to lower down on her own (by basically waiting, since there is nothing much in the lines of propulsion that she can do). Question is, if Ysenyote was able to properly round her orbit into some more stable form, or just "pushed her up" and didn't bother anymore. In the latter case there is also the question of speed, since pushed fast enough Jones could leave earth's orbit and circle the sun, or even broke loose completely, and follow the Voyagers.

I imagine tomorrow's bonus page would be either an epic shot of the forest, or court-side people concerned (particularly Anthony), but part of me really wants to see Space Jones in the lotus position. This was close enough to make me laugh!

No, I'd be a human ice block. Come to think of it, I could swear her clothes looked like they were beginning to freeze a couple pages ago. I was afraid Jones would freeze, too. What happened to that ice?

I would love to plug numbers into this but I don't think I can (until I see where she hits, maybe). There's also the Etheric components to account for. Not just Coysengrin's influence on trajectory and velocity, but the Etherness that allows for bunnies on the moon. That's some voodoo programming, right there.

What happened to that ice? A vacuum is a pretty good insulator. Since her clothes aren't very reflective, she might actually end up gaining some temperature from the Sol's radiation, before returning. I imagine reentry will get very hot.

I would love to plug numbers into this but I don't think I can (until I see where she hits, maybe). She's probably not in LEO. The earth would look a lot closer than it does. I'd say we're looking at a geosynchronous orbit, meaning she's more or less above the Court for now and will be until Coyote brings her back down. Assuming he doesn't keep her there for more than an hour or two. In the mean time, she can hang with that GPS satellite behind her. The alternative is that he's holding her at a fixed position above the Court, which makes her a danger to any satellite at that altitude.
