I wonder if Kamlen was able to return Kat's copies of Prodigy?

Next shot: Wide eyed Eggers and Parley just staring. Next shot: Llewellyn glances casually out the window. "Was that thunder, do you think, Jones?"

With every subsequent page I'm thinking more and more he's actually closing the gap.

A bridge scene in a fantasy story where the heroes get across before it crumbles and there is not a single reference to Gandalf and the Balrog? Is that even legal?

Do you want angry gods, Annie? Because that's how you get angry gods

Do you want angry gods, Annie? Because that's how you get angry gods By making them eat each other?

The higher-ups in the Court are going to want to know right quick what the *freak* just happened... Annie and Smitts get called in for an immediate debriefing - do we get to see the inner circle of the Court now at last?

Or a mad, cackling shaman demanding that they answer him these questions three, ere the other side they see. (Maybe that comes after the intermission chapter break)

When Ysengrin said he'd show the humans how weak they are, I was picturing, like... fire! Death! Blood! Wailing and gnashing of teeth!
But nope, he just wanted to show them how puny and poorly-structured their architecture is.

At least the obvious guilty parties here are Coyote and Ysengrin - Ysengrin finally biting back after all the abuse he'd taken from Coyote, in particular.

I feel like I remember a brief explanation of when/why the bridge was built somewhere in the comic. Anyone remember where that was?

I feel like I remember a brief explanation of when/why the bridge was built somewhere in the comic. Anyone remember where that was? Until Jeanne was removed, it was the only safe way to cross... unless you can fly. Or teleport, now that I think about it. Both sides had reasons for interacting but the Court dictated terms and presumably built it at some point.

Plan defenses and such...

Okay. Since there isn't a new wooden bridge on top of the old stone foundations I'm now guessing that the bridge was the target and destroying it now was Ys redefining the mediums' departure as "being chased out" rather than "fled of their own accord."
And now that the bridge is gone the Annan is back to the sort of barrier that Coyote intended when he made it. While being difficult to impossible for humans to cross without magic or flying machines, there are several types of creatures that it won't stop: those that fly or climb, those with magic, and those that move in shadows.

And it'll also make it a lot harder for there to be peaceful interaction between the two communities (like that between the fairy and her ex-rabbit friend). Both sides will now find it far easier to see each other as "the Other", an alien threat, and fear and hate each other accordingly.

Ysengrin might be biting back in the physical sense, but strategically, tactically and psychologically, this is all part of Coyote's chomp. Regarding the bridge, did anyone of you heard any alarm? When Ysengrin said he'd show the humans how weak they are, I was picturing, like... fire! Death! Blood! Wailing and gnashing of teeth! But nope, he just wanted to show them how puny and poorly-structured their architecture is. "Don't worry, these will resist."

Regarding the bridge, did anyone of you heard any alarm? Nope. I suppose that means Ys didn't come close enough to the Court side to set it off, though there's an outside chance the destruction of the bridge was just too loud.

So if the bridge was built for diplomatic relationships (among other things), does that mean they are both effectively fired?

explanation of when/why the bridge was built Well, a mobile bridge / drawbridge / crane would give the court more control about who is crossing.
