Yeah that 'sound sleep' thing not happening anymore. For Smitty and Annie anyway. And also readers...

Annie looks like she's trying very hard to believe everything is going to be fine.

...and looking like they've gone officially bonkers... (new and improved, with laser-beam eyes! and bat-sh*t crazy grin!) Annie is worried.... looks like she is gnawing through her cheek!

I hope Ysengrin gets a cool new look. And that he goes through a magical girl style transformation. Seems like you're gonna have both of your wishes come true. Yay for the cookies! EDIT: Is it too much to expect something like this ?

Annie looks like she's trying very hard to believe everything is going to be fine. Smitty is still there with her, so everything IS going to be fine. Riiight? (Me and Annie have the same facial expression while observing this scene)

Yay for the cookies! double cookies, yes, but Im not sure this batch will taste so good.... looks like Ys is shedding his tree-form; maybe (as someone suggested earlier) he loses his gardening/forest powers now that he has a new Coyote hairdo.....

But coyote's secret is that he doesn't exist. How much strength could he have?

But coyote's secret is that he doesn't exist. How much strength could he have? Is that a serious question? I mean.He also created the freakin' huge Annan Waters by casually making a gigantic hole between the Court and the Forest. The ether might be born from people's imagination, but its effects on the world are very real.

Does anyone else get the feeling Coyote is testing Annie here?
I think he's pushing her to reveal and realize her true strength, it is something both he and Ysengrim have been working towards for a long time.

I really hope it takes this direction, because my brain has it going somewhere super tragic.

Ysengrin: "Hey, Annie! We're both both redheads now. We should have a movie night, and do each others hair." Annie: "Um... Oh, sure..." Ysengrin: "I hear Poltergeist is a good film, and even has a scene with a protective tree. Sounds good. Haha!" Annie: "..."
The glowing eyes brings to mind Renard's power. I doubt it would come to it, but if Y goes unhinged and attacks the Court, Renard might easily stop him.

He's still all skeletal, though. I wonder if his strength is going to be brittle or something along those lines.
This makes me very, very nervous.

When Coyote gives Ysengrin his power, part of Y's body turns red. But when Coyote gave Renard his power - both times that we see it - we don't see any red or blue on him. Also this page is terrifying.

Also: What the frag is happening to Ysengrin's paws? Is he able to form them into humanoid hands now, like Coyote?

Coyote would tie a knot into them.
Now I'm imagining George tripping all the time and landing on strangely placed soft objects, while off in the corner Coyote is snickering.

Is it just me, or is Coyote starting to look a bit ragged in that last panel? Could this gift really be taking something out of him?
