What is Coyote's strength though? Does Ys assume its his ability to manipulate the physical? What does Coyote himself consider his 'strength'? Curveball incoming? My thoughts exactly. "Coyote is no liar. Therein lies the danger." I completely agree. Just now saw this from one of the last threads: well, memories are part of what sentient creatures use to construct their own "myths"... their stories of themselves and the world around them. And those stories/myths are part of what generates the ether, and what makes Coyote. So I think you are right in a sense... Coyote *is* memories, in part, and/or fueled by them. Perhaps stories memories is part of what gives etheric creatures power. Giving Ysengrin back his memories may do.....something to his strength. We don't know what, but we know Coyote is no liar. Jones advice proves solid, even after all this time.

And! Remember when Coyote gave Annie some of his "strength"? Yeah. Things went south in a hurry--to the soundtrack of Coyote's laughter. (I know, I know, "all's well that ends well." But it was pretty traumatic at the time, and it could've been a lot worse.)

You're right, things DID go south in a hurry. It wasn't his strength, but it WAS a gift, and gifts from Coyote are not to be taken lightly....makes us wonder what kind of havoc that tiny bottle o' Coyote could wreak.

Wondering again if Coyote has a big paw in all this psychopomp business.
