But we've seen him talk Renard into using his body snatching power even after seeing firsthand that it would kill the possessed creature. " You cannot be sure that will happen." It's like giving someone poison which has already killed animals and talking them into using it on a human anyway. In some ways it's even worse than killing someone himself. Coyote killed Daniel by proxy, making the blame fall solely onto Renard. And the Court and Surma helped here. Renard wasn't interested in receiving any of Coyote's powers until the Court had Surma manipulate Renard into falling in love with her. Without that, Renard would have continued to turn down Coyote's offer, and Daniel would have lived. So I'd say there's several people to share the blame. Of course, there are several people to blame. But Coyote was the one who handed the murderer the weapon and told him to use it.

Wait, what does "temper" mean here?
when I google it, it seams it can mean both to improve and to counterbalance, so which is it?

Wait, what does "temper" mean here? when I google it, it seams it can mean both to improve and to counterbalance, so which is it? Ah, now that's the question, isn't it? No, seriously, several readers have asked that exact same question. Your guess is as good as ours. I personally interpreted it more like "Fire Head Girl has balanced out your anger and it's a lot less now".
