OK. This is creepy.
What was Annie saying? That it would be a great idea for Ysengrin to host a fairy tea party before the happy dispatch to School?

This is uncomfortably like standing outside a conversation watching someone in the early stages of dementia try to keep up appearances.

Coyote is just jealous because Annie's red shirt is redder than his red.

What a blip blip blip Coyote is. Ysengrin is really just walking vegetation at this point. As much brains as a broccoli. The Court rulers are horrible and need opposing but Coyote is the same and to my book worst. The Court is humans who are deluded and idiotic as only shortsighted ephemeral beings can be. Coyote is an eternal being, with huge powers he can draw upon. And what does he do with all that? He amuses himself with robbing someone of his memories, his ability to think and reason, robbing Ysengrin of himself. As for the dementia reference, exactly. Who would do that to someone else? Unless the someone doing was absolutely evil. Evil I get.

Now that Jeanne is gone and no longer protecting the Annan waters, is Coyote moving into some sort of end game regarding Ysengrin's memories? Is he trying to turn Ys into a raging lunatic or a vegetable? I have so many questions and I can't come up with answers for a single one of them

I've never talked to with anyone with dementia for any length of time, but it looks like Tom is just trying to indicate that Ys is not paying attention, or even that Coyote/the viewer aren't paying attention. Initially, Ysengrin was just distracted because he got his memories back. As for the blocked-out text, if it were a movie, Annie's voice would just fade into the background, but because it's a comic, the omission is a lot more explicit. I don't think Tom wanted us to read into it (hence his statement at the bottom.)
As for Coyote manipulating Ysengrin, this step seems the opposite of manipulative. I'm not sure what his end game is, but this move seems to be one that benefits other people.
That being said, I guess we'll find out moving forward.

I read it as someone deep in thought, not really paying attention the matter at hand, yet pretending to be a part of a conversation.

Is he trying to turn Ys into a raging lunatic or a vegetable? I have so many questions and I can't come up with answers for a single one of them I honestly still don't believe that the Coyote is any kind of mastermind with a grand plan in mind. What he's doing with Ysengrin now is what he has been doing for ages, possibly centuries. Considering that he was able to tip down one of the towers of the Court effortlessly while Jeanne was still standing watch, I doubt that there's anything that she could have done to hinder him if he really had some kind of a plan for the Court in mind. And I really don't think that Coyote's trying to do anything that he would consider malicious to Ysengrin. Based on the last time he did it, it looks to me that Coyote's simply plucking away Ys' memories whenever he gets too mopey to be amusing, or too enraged to keep in check. That it's slowly destroying poor Ysengrin's mind probably isn't something that Coyote has given a single thought to consider. He's an impulsive trickster, however intelligent and powerful he is, not a scheming mastermind.

We're going to find out when, out of the blue (Ayilu?) Annie says"Now, Ysengrin!", "Hm? Now what?" And hilarity will ensue, if not havoc.

I honestly still don't believe that the Coyote is any kind of mastermind with a grand plan in mind. In the original legends about Coyote, he's often portrayed as having his schemes backfire on him (something that often seems to happen to tricksters in myth and legend) - which raises the possibility that Coyote's meddling could similarly go awry, producing results he didn't expect or want. (I recently found myself imagining Coyote's games resulting in the conflict between the Court and the Wood getting so out of hand that both sides wipe each other out, with Coyote being the only one left alive in the aftermath, staring at the smoldering crater where Gunnerkrigg and Gilltie once stood and realizing, to his horror, that now he doesn't have anything left to play with - maybe even, when the Guides show up to handle everyone who needs condcuting into the ether (with Muut commenting with a sigh that they'll be working overtime), he starts begging them, with increasing lack of dignity, to please restore a few of the Court residents and forest-folk to life, just so that he can have some toys to have fun with.

I want to hear what Annie is saying! I hope whatever she's planning involves a show of her fire powers, like in Tall Tales (http://gunnerkrigg.com/?p=1370). It's been a while.

The vibe I'm getting from chapter's pages so far is that Coyote isn't just keeping Ysengrin's rage hidden, but he may be influencing him to care more deeply for Annie. I might be misinterpreting the wolf-face but he has a kind of serene, happy expression in the second panel, moments after we see visions of Annie melded with his mind, seemingly quarantined from his other "I hate them" memories.
