Speaking of entomology, I wonder why Tony is so interested in the subject? Doesn't he end up becoming a surgeon? Perhaps, like Stephen Maturin of the Aubrey-Maturin Series by Patrick O'Brian, he's a doctor type with an avid interest in the natural world? No reason he can't be pursuing a medical career as well as be big on bugs. I'm in medical school, and do some writing and world-building on the side.

I am going to have this song stuck in my head all week! Brazil, where hearts were entertaining June We stood beneath an amber moon And softly murmured 'someday soon' We kissed, and clung together Then, tomorrow was another day The morning found me miles away With still a million things to say Now, when twilight dims the sky above Recalling thrills of our love There's one thing that I am certain of Return I will to old Brazil There is a movie that made it world famous but Kids: if you're under 14, I might not recommend this movie to you, it's super sad and violent. But it is Terry Gilliam, so if you are an adult then go watch some Terry Gilliam! awesome movie.....

Hold on, the chapter title is "Get Lost". Oh boy. This is the second time the word " entomo" appears in comic. Let's see if "kindunos" (danger) will apply as well. Tom could be playing this two ways: Get Lost (in the jungle), or Surma tells Tony to "Get Lost!" (you emotionally cramped doofus....) Never noticed that sign before... "Danger, Bugs?" Why in Greek? Weird.... pretty deeply buried foreshadowing by Tom (if that is what it is)! edit: Or Tom could even mean it three different ways- the 3rd way metaphorically: Tony & Surma Get(ting) Lost in each other....

(Since Gilltie Wood doesn't seem like an advisable place for scientific exploration, this makes better sense; there probably aren't as many distrustful etheric beings in the Amazon jungle.) Wait till they end up in that forgotten temple to a dark god right in the heart of the rainforest. Even if they do, at least they won't have to worry about it turning into a diplomatic incident with problems for the Court. Or if it does, it won't be as serious as it would if it had taken place in Gilltie.

Between the Whitelegs, creatures like these, and the other spiders that keep showing up around Zimmy, it's always been a headcanon of mine that she's scared of bugs, and the nightmare things that appear around her reflect that. Or it could just be a random sign. Weirder things have happened in the Court.

No, surma. A jungle is not like a forest. As someone who lived in holland for three years before returning to the states, I can attest that She is NOT going to be prepared for the climate in any way. The first summer in Louisiana after coming back I felt like I was going to pass out after five minutes of playing outside in the heat. The humididty in brazil is gunna destroy her, better yet, she has curly hair. I would suspect that a part-fire-elemental can handle the heat better than an ordinary human.

Speaking of entomology, I wonder why Tony is so interested in the subject? Doesn't he end up becoming a surgeon? He originally aspired to be a bug surgeon. Then Surma was like, "You know, sometimes humans need surgery too..." He had never considered that before.

The humididty in brazil is gunna destroy her, better yet, she has curly hair. I suspect Surma had her reasons to believe heat won't be a great problem for her. Curly hair + high humidity = unruly frizz mess from hell If only she had some sort of magic hair dryer... Something about this scene reminds me of William and Janet. I hope this is not a William and Janet situation She's acting tsundere about it. "If it's important and all". But in Surma's case it's probably about her tough girl image. I'm sure Eglamore was ecstatic when he heard about this. Well, yeah. And that's probably what Anja means. To which Surma may respond that she isn't Rapunzel to just sit there and patiently wait until James is done with everything else.

Bugs and index cards. All aboard to Romance Central. *toot toot* Well, better this than the homophonically related alternative: parchments and dictionaries for an etymological expedition! That deserves another thumbs up.

"Holiday". Right, clearly Surma has no idea what she is in for.

Works pretty well for me, actually. "Holiday". Right, clearly Surma has no idea what she is in for. Tony does, but I can imagine him not telling her because "She said she was certain she could handle it!"
