In junior year for HS we had to make an insect collection for biology, minimum 50 or points would be deducted. All students had to devote the summer vacation before that year to it. Other phyla didn't count. I busted my @ss and only managed to gather 38 different but they were all perfect specimens and correctly labeled so I got a C-.

No, surma. A jungle is not like a forest. As someone who lived in holland for three years before returning to the states, I can attest that She is NOT going to be prepared for the climate in any way. The first summer in Louisiana after coming back I felt like I was going to pass out after five minutes of playing outside in the heat. The humididty in brazil is gunna destroy her, better yet, she has curly hair.

What effect does curly hair have in the jungle? Surma's hair will tend towards an "afro" style quite uncontrollably...

That was certainly a surprise for me. I'd thought from the title page (the combination of the title and the picture accompanying it) that Anthony and Surma would enter some wild natural place together and experience some misadventures connecting to their falling in love, but I'd assumed it would be Gilltie Wood. And instead, it's a jungle in Brazil, far from the Court. (Since Gilltie Wood doesn't seem like an advisable place for scientific exploration, this makes better sense; there probably aren't as many distrustful etheric beings in the Amazon jungle.)
The "entomological" part does fit in with the title page's picture of the bug on the leaf, though. (And we probably now have the explanation for the airplane picture as well.)

(Since Gilltie Wood doesn't seem like an advisable place for scientific exploration, this makes better sense; there probably aren't as many distrustful etheric beings in the Amazon jungle.) Wait till they end up in that forgotten temple to a dark god right in the heart of the rainforest.

I am going to have this song stuck in my head all week! Brazil, where hearts were entertaining June We stood beneath an amber moon And softly murmured 'someday soon' We kissed, and clung together Then, tomorrow was another day The morning found me miles away With still a million things to say Now, when twilight dims the sky above Recalling thrills of our love There's one thing that I am certain of Return I will to old Brazil There is a movie that made it world famous but Kids: if you're under 14, I might not recommend this movie to you, it's super sad and violent. But it is Terry Gilliam, so if you are an adult then go watch some Terry Gilliam!

Can you think of anything more romantic than two hormonal young adults alone in the jungle, sweaty, cranky and covered in dirt and bugs? Sexy. Also, if this flashback includes any, ahem, "personal adult time," I hope Anja knows enough to keep this knowledge to herself.
In all seriousness, I hope there's a good dose of exciting Indiana Jones-style jungle peril included in this story. There's no better way to bond than through danger. And if this is the jungles of Brazil and not Gillitie Wood, it's unfamiliar territory for both of them.

Speaking of entomology, I wonder why Tony is so interested in the subject? Doesn't he end up becoming a surgeon?

Yes, but this is an expedition into Brazil. Sounds a little more serious than just a subject or a hobby. Also, it seems like it's something he and Donny decided to do on their owm, rather than for class.

I'm sure Eglamore was ecstatic when he heard about this. He was probably out training in the middle of nowhere, and therefore never heard anything about it before it was too late.
