Two things I love about this page: -- Coyote playing "matchmaker" pushing Smitty and Parley together. Despite that they're already a pair - he wants to keep things awkward of course. -- Coyote tells his story by pantomiming as his characters, as can be seen in that second panel.

Damn it Tom Coyote! Through keen observation, I got the impression it was going to get really interesting too!

I wonder why they're mediuming. Looks a bit casual if Coyote is just telling stories about his favourite subject matter.

Nothing more terrifying than a god with ADD I was just going to say that! I wonder if Annie's going to ask someone advice about how to placate dickish fairies?

"ON THE SEVENTH DAY, I DECIDED TO HAVE A REST. THUS, SEVEN DAYS IN A WEEK." "..." "WHOOPS, HAHAHA, WRONG LEGEND!" As a Catholic, I feel silly for not thinking of this right away when I saw Coyote counting up to 7 days. Assuming he does stop on 7 haha.

Annie to Ysengrin: "so, tell me all about how you killed those two fairies back then".

Tom mentioned at the beginning that this was an actual Coyote myth; maybe the rest of it is in a collection of Coyote stories somewhere (like his botched attempt at creating humans, or his flinging the stars into the sky in a haphazard way).

I wonder why they're mediuming. Are they? Parley is not wearing her official protector clothing/armor. Maybe it's just an unofficial visit. Also, I expect that when Annie und Ysengrin come back an hour later, Coyote will be right in the middle of saying: "On the ninety-fifth day, though..."

I wouldn't mind taking a gander at the rest of the Dead Goose Story, but I'm really hoping we'll move into Ysengrin Story Time now.

I wonder if Surma and our man Eggers were ever in a similar situation with Coyote. I can just imagine.

That first panel is priceless. I laughed at it for 30 seconds before even scrolling down to see the rest of the page. Personal space? What's that?(I will note, however, that it doesn't look like Coyote is pushing the happy couple together in this page. His paws are resting on top of their shoulders, with Parley and Smitty leaning to shy away from him as much as they can. He's just getting too close while he's talking, as is his habit. I'm sure he does it because it's funny to make humans uncomfortable.)

Coyote: "are you sitting comfortably?" *snuggles Smitty & Parley closer together* Coyote: "*NOW* are you sitting comfortably?" {feeble nods} Coyote: "Good, then we'll move on to another tale."
I had a brief search of stories about Coyote pretending to be a dead goose. I suspect Tom is making a statement about 'Canada Goose' clothing.

Just how does the shift from Surma+James to Surma+Anthony line up with the relationship between the Forest and the Court (specifically, the Reynardine incident)? Coyote clearly knows Anthony, but under what circumstances did they even meet?

Based on a totally wild guess without a single shred of evidence I assume that Annie is off to see the QUEEN OF THE FAERIES!!! who is obviously the biggest jerk in the land.
