T'was formsprung that this was a coming of age ritual. I think I recall it also being said somewhere that in the Wood this ritual was also related to "job" (whatever that means, probably not applicable here anyway) but I can't locate the source on that. |

I'm sorry. I'm SO sorry. I've been spending a fair amount of time socialising with my co-workers and managers in IT, most of whom happen to be British citizens/immigrants from India and Pakistan. Is it bad that the soundtrack in my head is from one of those Bollywood wedding scenes?  Also, i do NOT remember Bugsy being "christened" with so much ceremony. Edit: I think I was thinking of this, the perfect "cheeky/crazy" from him and the perfect "demure/I know I'm gorgeous" from her. |

Given how much of the comic is devoted to stories about how irrelevant and interchangeable material bodies are, I'm not fussed; in fact I have pretty much stopped paying attention to the characters in terms of any gender expression but what they define and practice for themselves. |
