This page just confirmed one thing: Red's friend is not going to be called Blue.

Oh yesss, I already see it happening: Red taking some dramatic long time to tell her friend her name, when Kat barges in, asking if she's too late to see Blue get her name. BAM. Snake-eyes.

Red's much more likely to insult "Blue" and result in her getting a different name.

Still thinking (hoping?) that next page Antimony says the name will be a variation on blue.

Well, apparently the Court wasn't aware of their old alarm system, after all, seeing that these two aren't under interrogation.
And Red shows exactly as much imagination as I expected her to. Ofcourse there's still room for a twist...

Still thinking (hoping?) that next page Antimony says the name will be a variation on blue. Like... Cerulean?

Either that or she will hate the name. Being named is such a transformative life event that I bet they like it even if they don't like it.

Looks like Red is wearing a miltary uniform?... Btw, why she was still in her school uniform in Jeanne chapter, if she had been already named and set free of her studies?

Still thinking (hoping?) that next page Antimony says the name will be a variation on blue. Like... Cerulean? If it's just plain Blue she might have to endure criticism every time she makes a joke. Heh. So, in addition to what I remember from the thread about this... Azul? Periwinkle? Maybe Space Cadet. That one would go over well with Randy.

I would think, even though Red has a name, she isn't freed from her obligations. After all, they like the work and staying in class. The same will probably happen to Blue.

So Tom did arrange for Blue to be named on the first page, leaving the rest of the chapter free to explain the importance of that hair clip.

Still thinking (hoping?) that next page Antimony says the name will be a variation on blue. Like... Cerulean? Cerulean....Blue.... Cerulean... Blue.... I'm also under the impression that Blue will NOT be named Blue now. But, erm, guys... So, like the Court knows they did this thing, freeing Jeanne, and they deem it important enough to grant a reward for the efforts? Why aren't they fucking pissed at this covert operation by the Forest AND Court medium? Why are they rewarding them for putting others lives in danger? If not for Annie's lucky connection with the P-pomps, Smitty'd be dead, yo! Even if they can't remember WHY Jeanne was placed there, wouldn't they have an idea at what she kept out? I have a feeling we're going into a meeting that will be less celebratory and more reprimandatory!

Why are they rewarding them for putting others lives in danger? They aren't...? In what way is the Court rewarding Annie & team? Even if they can't remember WHY Jeanne was placed there, wouldn't they have an idea at what she kept out? They don't know she ever existed. At all. If they know of a danger that ***for some mysterious reason*** hasn't been coming for them, they probably have their own idea of an explanation. Even if the Forest starts coming for the Court right now, the Court won't know what changed to make it happen. I have a feeling we're going into a meeting that will be less celebratory and more reprimandatory! I don't think they're going into a formal meeting at all. Red is dressing up because naming Blue is an important occasion to her, but Annie's looking fairly casual.

Red did a internet search and decided to give this look a try. When you're free to choose your own clothes, you're free to make mistakes. Hopefully Blue will discourage this outfit and nudge her towards the outfit from Chapter 59.

Have we seen this room before? Yes, this is the new apartments previously seen in Chapters 50 and 51. Edit: Or not? I assumed so because of the colors scheme, but on second viewing the windows are different and Annie is sitting on a chair, not a couch. So scratch that, maybe we haven't seen this before.

We don't even know if this is some official Court ceremony or if any of the Court adults/staff will be present.

Pretty sure that the Court isn't throwing this shin-dig. I figure the kids are throwing a party in celebration of their success (nobody going into the ether who wasn't supposed to) and the blue one's naming is just the climax/rationale. And that list doesn't even include traditional names that mean "blue" or blue flowers and the words that translate as same.

I'm real curious about the outfit. Required uniform (for what?) or simply Red's lack of fashion experience? This is definitely giving off a ceremonial vibe. More "Christening a boat", less "Golden Dawn".
