No. I refuse to accept this.
...and maybe the sword just goes behind him. And we can't see. Tom's done this trick before. His luck should protect him, right? Right? ...or he could be going for the double subversion, and this time it's for real In the absence of further evidence, this is my vote. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Holy crap. Maybe Andrew's luck prevented it from being fatal? But, geeze, this is insane. O.o
It is a dagger and not Jeanne's usual weapon so maybe that'll be enough to Smitface not to die. We need our might eyebrows boy Dx

(For anyone confused, a Main Gauche is a smaller off-hand parrying dagger. Jeanne maneuvered herself so she struck at Parley then stabbed Andrew with her other hand using a previously hidden blade.)

Coyote is displeased, yes yes!
Mighty Eyebrows like that only appear once per eon.
It's a shame to waste them so frivolously.

Smitts: "I should probably dodge my stomach back now" Smitts 1 second later: "huh, that's why."
This is my head canon until Monday.
(The dagger is short enough, she's overextended, and he's leaned back far enough: he might not have got stabbed)

Correct me if I'm wrong: GKC hasn't had a character death yet, right? Every death we've seen has happened before the "present". And Mort is sort of a gray area since he didn't die in the usual sense, but the effect on us is the same, so...
Anyway. First character death, maybe? It would have to be Smits, man. That guy was way too awesome, and he will be missed.

Smitty was facing away from us in the Treatise Page =/ Some of us were suspecting that meant death.
Who wants to meet for drinks if Smit dies?

The lines of action seem very confusing, though. It seems to be striking from the wrong direction. Faster to strike with a reverse grip slash from left to right, then right to left.
Especially if she's trying to stab. That requires two movements (from a left holster), instead of one.

The lines of action seem very confusing, though. I can't tell is it's a stab or a slash and it seems to be striking from the wrong direction. Faster to strike from left to right, then right to left. Feels like a straight stab to the gut to me. Maybe a little higher. Of course, we don't see the impact (though it's more typical for Tom to show the aftermath, seems like). Going to be holding our breath until Monday morning, of course. (Also, first post here. Hallo, all!)

Smitty dying might be his application for recently vacant Mort-less position of the House Ghost. He'll be called Nearly-disembowelled-Smitty. Very Hogwardy, don't you say?

An ether-page.. to stop his ether-powers I'm assuming. But also: nooo Smitty, please be stabbed in non-lethal parts (or not at all) ;_;

What I wonder now is... What are we not seeing right now, our visión blocked by Jeanne's garment? : A) a secondary weapon (gotta dagger Smitty with the left hand)?B) has Jeanne ghostly stabbed Parley's fore-image , timing her slash since she KNEW where Parley's gonna appear , and then ripped another piece of her/cleanly cut her in half? Congratulations! Take them all, your rotten cookies! D:< (/jk, awesome prediction!) It's gotta be a last minute save by Annie and/or Kat. Is etheric fire any good as a shield?

So, after Jeanne is freed from her duty in a few moments, Parley will take her place?

Okay, here's my prediction:
Kat can now get into the ether with her little glowy stick. Kat is a goddess of life. We know this means she can create life; but what if she could also heal living things? Of course, since her other divine domains include robotics, healing an organic being might be tricky. We've seen her make an initially inorganic being partly organic (Robot and the ship), so why couldn't she give an organic being inorganic parts in an effort to save their life. Or to put it another way:
CYBORG SMITTY!

(The dagger is short enough, she's overextended, and he's leaned back far enough: he might not have got stabbed) It's at least halfway in. Of course, at what angle and what this will really do is less than clear. when she realises the irony of the situation. And we will know whether she can facepalm herself to rest.
