Tank's gotta do a better job protecting the squishies! Please kite it away from the guy casting our buffs, thank you. It's bad enough they nerfed the Distraction spell, let's not make this harder on ourselves. And hey! Our Mage and level-capped Druid need to get back in the damn arena so we can get some dots on this thing, what's their eta?? If we wipe here, we'll need to start the whole quest-line over, so let's not screw this up, people.
...I swear this is the last time we do a seven-man dungeon with two noob casters and a Rogue who's not properly geared.

Of all the shots Jeanne took during this fight, that was the one shot Parley was 100% guaranteed to block.

I find it deeply wounding to my flimsy sense of optimism that we have this very clear establishing shot of Parley's wound in panel one. 😯

I imagine Parley saying:
"You will NOT attack my Smitty, thank you very much!"
Also, I must say that Parley is holding up much better than I thought she would based on when they were discussing this in "Parley and Smitty are in this one". There it sounded like Jeanne played in a whole other league, yet here they look evenly matched or Parley look the superior part.
Either Parley must be very tired or that dragon slayer training evened the odds.

Wondering if Parley made a supercool save, or if this was a trick-move by Jeanne to get a better opening to attack make-it-boring-boy.

What are we not seeing right now, our visión blocked by Jeanne's garment? : A) a secondary weapon (gotta dagger Smitty with the left hand)? B) has Jeanne ghostly stabbed Parley's fore-image , timing her slash since she KNEW where Parley's gonna appear , and then ripped another piece of her/cleanly cut her in half? |

Jeanne's left hand is empty and she looks like she put a lot of forward motion into that attack. Did Parlry's block stop that forward movementum or just deflect it to the side. If Jeanne is still moving forward but off target Parley might be able to trip or push her off balance. At best it would be a delaying tactic. Someone or something has to put a stop to this fight. Parley and crew have done their job distracting Jeanne. It is time to move on. |

I'm starting to wonder, if the plan was to wait for Annie/Kat to get back with the arrow, slice Jeanne's sword with The Tooth to prevent her blocking, then throw the arrow at her. That might trap her without a weapon, letting Annie go back in and talk with her. |

That might trap her without a weapon, letting Annie go back in and talk with her. Possibly worth noting that Annie was able to pull the thing out with her bare (ether) hands a few pages ago. And then probably touched it with her physical hands the page after that. I'm guessing it's not completely inert since it's still glowing, but it seems that after being unlocked it needs more than a simple touch to be set off. |

Still, it leaves option B open, and I keep believing this attack had another effect. Until Friday (or Monday) proves me wrong, I mean. I think fore-images are able to Be sliced, since P's powers are ether based, and J's sword can damage creatures from both realms. |

Didn't Jeanne just say that she can see where Parley id going to appear? It's hard that she would let herself be blocked so easily then. I think this is a setup for some kind of trick.
