I'm hoping Coyote is sincere about "friendship and trust", but he's almost certainly not.
He did appoint Annie as medium, though, but it's unclear how much of a strategic decision that was.
Also, he's looking pretty menacing in panel two...

Looks like Annie's still declining the makeup, but she's wearing at least one necklace again. Also, he's looking pretty menacing in panel two... I wonder how much bizarro-world stuff she just takes in stride by this point. "'Moss ogre?' Nah that's just Ted, we're good friends now" |

I wonder how much bizarro-world stuff she just takes in stride by this point. "'Moss ogre?' Nah that's just Ted, we're good friends now" "Taking Bizarro stuff in stride" is an inevitable side effect of hanging out with Coyote. I'd be impressed if anything surprised her anymore. |

Yeah, the Coyote brings to my mind an image of totalitarian Chairman/Great Leader/whatever that gives a great speech about opening borders with their neighbours but is actually preparing to send a saboteur with nuke into enemy capital.
Or maybe we're overthinking it, and it's just a simple courtesy visit after all.

So with the exception of Coyote and a Forest medium, this is the only official entry of a Forest denizen to the Court, without being soul harvested and put into a prefab body. That could be a subtle, diplomatic tipping point.
Though, would that technically make Shadow an illegal immigrant?

Should be interesting to see how a 3-inch tall fairy handles geometry class  Probably- wasn't that why Jones was helping to hide him without going through official channels? |
