Welp, at least I understood the previous video game references. This time, I don't.

Welp, at least I understood the previous video game references. This time, I don't. This was a reference to Metal Gear Solid V. Here you go.That was an anime bonus page...

I kind of hope this continues, despite having never played any Metal Gear game, just so we could call this intermission Craggy Face.

Tom tweeted on Tuesday: "I've got a little treat lined up for readers on Friday. Be sure to stop by the site!"
And it's not like I wouldn't visit the page on Friday anyway, but now I'm all "Is it Friday yet? No? How about now? Still no..?"
Regarding Wednesday's page: There's no emotional connection for me here since I'm not invested in the MGS franchise in any way, while the Mononoke page gets me everytime... I need to rewatch it soon!

That could be the treat, but maybe Tom has another bonus page up his sleeve. Maybe it is the start of a two week break, SURPRISE!

If the first MGS bonus page was page 400-something, next 800-something, and now we have one two at 1659... does that mean that the next MGS bonus page (four of them?) will be around 3200??
(couldn't help but notice the pattern, I'm just like that...)

(couldn't help but notice the pattern, I'm just like that...) They've all been in sets of twos. The first bonus pages of this style were 439 and 440.Second set was the Princess Mononoke viewing, 868 and 869.Then we have $currentpages, which judging by what Tom's saying on his twitter regarding tomorrow, are also a two-parter.
