Good choice in thread title And yes, I'm just overjoyed that Annie is starting to interact normally with everyone again.

I feel like the person that Annie needs to be close to, and who could make her happy, is Fire. I'm hoping we see them reunited this chapter. I feel that it'd go well with the story's tone and heart to have Annie and Fire rejoin out of Annie's joy and confidence.

It's like Kat doesn't realize the accidental byproduct of a relationship for Annie could be death... you can't be happy if you're dead!

Well, there's always worse choices than Winsbury...
>_>
<_<
Between you and me, it would've all fallen apart if she tried to set you up with boxbot or Coyote. She's smarter than that, though.

you can't be happy if you're dead! "Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." - Terry Pratchett . . . And so a Bad Pun Day continued...

And thus... [Also sprach Zarathustra starts playing in the background] The WINSBURY FACE was born... [Bass drum kicks in] We have another meme, folks! I wonder if we'll ever reach reddit levels of meme content. ...I rather hope not. In other news, I'm happy to see this chapter turning the mood around. We have reconciliation with Reynard, genuine and friendly communication between Annie and her friends, and the beginnings of emotional control for Annie. This is good. This is very good.

Annie: "He's nice!" Kat: "Mmm hmm." *sassy finger snap*
Seriously though, Kat should have none better and tested the waters on Annie's end. It speaks of a "flowchart" form of thinking and problem solving. That might come up later, to Kat's disservice.

so you think its better to be happy momentarily then to be miserable for a long time My amusement is vitally important, of course. Human lives are less so. People on fire are amusing...especially when accompanied by a snarky quote! Ipso post facto, setting people on fire is morally justified, yes yes! Between you and me, it would've all fallen apart if she tried to set you up with Coyote. *offended sputtering*

You are far too stringy, and the thought of eating a human isn't even entertaining. Your memories are tasty though.

"He's nice but... Winsbury, Kat? Think about that concept for one minute. Goo-od! I think my work here is done."
Page 34! Is it just me, or is this chapter going into overtime? What's coming up??

Yup, at least two pages more. My bet is some super weird revelation, like William and Janet being a couple or something. Well, maybe that's too far-fetched.

Nah, the whole gang was doing it before. see 1636But they have snake-eyes. I think that qualifies as a rather different look. :)

Won't even bother to claim gunner-cookies on this one.
Also, that's how Kat's "Huh, maybe I was not quite sober" face looks like. Nice to know.
