Hahaha, great list of father figures. I think it could be updated to: 1) Fox Dad 2) Wolf Dad 3) Kat's Dad 4) Eglamore 5) Boxbot 6) COYOTE 7) Tony And I left out Bud the Merostomatozon (crab) who is married to Lindsey. Because he exchanged like 2 words with Annie. Probably still a better dad than Tony at this point though  Tony really needs to grow up, he's getting beat out by a bunch of animals |

I was more startled by Annie's frog face in the second panel*. Also the last panel seems to have some kind of reddening filter? Annie's jumper is browner than it's been the whole chapter. *Technically I guess it's the first. |

Not sure if it's usual for a ~14-year-old to be able to jump like that, but this kid does climb trees after all.

On the other hand, he might be good with children because, not despite, of being Death (depressing, but valid thought). Basically it takes very little at this point to be a better daddy than Tony. Eglamore was there when Annie got injured? Good enough! Coyote gave her a hug once when she was sad about Surma? That'll do! Boxbot voluntarily showed feelings once? OK then! |

That was never clear from the comic pages, but on his Patreon page Tom posted some sketches of the characters in different outfits. In the sketches of John it is clear that it is a guitar and that is the guitar strap going across his chest. |
