Just no. Obviously. Didn't we establish this?
It's a secret.
In other news: Annie, continues to impress us with her emotional improvements! She's happy for her friends! She thinks they're a little weird but is ok because they're her friends! She's not angry at everything! Does this... Does this look like someone who is on their way to becoming emotionally mature?

Also... Is it socially proper to use more eyeshadow than your girlfriend? Maybe that's the reason...

Affirmation of Friendship... check!
Justification for Secrecy... uh, maybe Friday, but I'm not holding my breath for various reasons including the fact that I can't hold it for two days.

Is it socially proper to use more eyeshadow than your girlfriend? Plus, think of all the hair products that he uses. I'm guessing he's supposed to have sunken eyes, or he stays up late, for reasons...

But it'll spoil the running gag, Annie! You're one of the main protagonists, you know running gags never die.

Speaking of eyeshadow, is Annie going to wear makeup ever again? Good question and one that may take a long time to resolve. Annie heard Tony say that he reacted the way he did because Annie looked so much like Surma. But Annie seemed to rationalize things when she told her elemental self that he had his reasons. I could see her deciding that keeping her father in her life is more important to her than wearing her mother's makeup in his presence, but I wish she wouldn't let it control what she does when he isn't around.

Apparently someone used Google Translate to put a Swedish word in that video because it's the "no" in "there's no elk in the back yard", not the "no" in "no, you can't put your elk in the back yard". Did you need to know this? No.

Speaking of eyeshadow, is Annie going to wear makeup ever again? It kinda was her thing.Tony forbade her to wear make-up in his classes, but she doesn't take these any more. There is a reason Annie wears the make-up, yet unknown. I guess it will be back. I have no idea what the current chapter is all about About love and friendship again, and Annie dealing with her split personality. Would be nice if it ended with some action, I would like that, after a year of Tony. I think this comic is at it best if things are suggested, and five pages of explanation, even when done in a funny way, is a bit much. The secret love thing must be important for the plot. We may see a furious Llanwellyn soon.

I thought that had to do with emulating Surma, who she looks much more like when she has makeup on now that she's grown a bit I seem to remember it being a focal point of many discussions on the forum when Tony told her to take it off, with many believing it was because she reminded him too much of his dead wife.

Yes, and Annie wearing makeup again will be one more sign that she is back in control of her own life.

A fair number of people think there's something !important about the makeup beyond that though (due to a formspring answer iirc). I personally disagree, but we've seen how great my predictions have been. Maybe I should start predicting opposite, just so the more logical stuff turns out, as Tom seems to love doing the opposite of my predictions.

I always interpreted Annie wearing the makeup as a visual representation of her emotional repression. We often see her makeup smudged or messy when she's having an emotional breakdown. Maybe Tony forbidding her from wearing it was why she initially stopped, but Annie also handed ownership of Renard to Kat, so we know she won't necessarily do whatever he wants her to do if it's regarding something important to her. Which tells me her makeup isn't as important to her as it used to be.
I think her not wearing the makeup anymore is a sign that she's maturing emotionally.
