That last panel is making me so uncomfortable. Just so much confusion. Stop trolling us Tom and tell us what is going on already!

I'm fairly sure that Janet is breaking multiple laws of maths, physics, and the space-time continuum.

I'm fairly sure that Janet is breaking multiple laws of maths, physics, and the space-time continuum. But the daughter of the Headmaster gets away with breaking all the rules. So unfair, amirite?

Okay, so who wants to start making wagers about whether or not Antimony will cheat by using ether?

My spider senses detect there's an atmosphere developing. Can thunderstorms develop in a Gunnerkrigg bowling alley? I wonder what the backstory between William and Janet has been? Has William decided that being a hopeless romantic is, in fact, hopeless? Is he trying a version of this tactic? Stay tuned for the full reveal, in some chapter of 'Beyond the Walls', coming... whenever.

Janet looks almost as angry as Renard on the previous page...
This isn't going to end well, I'm doubling down on the theory that here is where the full Janet-William relationship comes out in the open.

I'm fairly sure that Janet is breaking multiple laws of maths, physics, and the space-time continuum. Nah. A double strike is when you just throw the ball with enough force and the right amount of spin, such that it bounces back after the first strike, jumps the railing, and hits a strike in the next lane. Really, all just simple physics and math.

Maybe it's not a super archery skill, but a super accuracy? Anyway, "I'll show you how to do it"... do what? a double strike? That guy's got some confidence in his not only bowling but also teaching skills. Is anyone else infatuated by Winsbury's more mature appearance? Not me, for sure. But maybe I'm not in the target audience. Janet looks almost as angry as Renard on the previous page... This isn't going to end well, I'm doubling down on the theory that here is where the full Janet-William relationship comes out in the open. Yeah, Janet looks like she's not okay with this, to say the least. Two jealous lovers angry at William as he's literally playing with fire. Oh son, do you have any sense of self-preservation? I can imagine the next page: William burning his hands and half of his body as Annie bursts into flames for the surprising approach, while Janet hits William's head with a well aimed bowling ball and infuriated Rey rips his living soul in pieces. Well, maybe this is not the very next page, but if any of this happens later, I called it. Anyway, this should affirm that Kat's not joking.

Actually, a double strike is just two strikes in a row (AKA a Barney Rubble). She could have setup two lanes for herself. I really don't think a magical bowling ball would be regulation. Ninjaed by darkfeather21.
What are you doing Winsbury? Now I'll have to be confused and distressed all weekend.

Is anyone else infatuated by Winsbury's more mature appearance? There is something to it. Before, he seemed to be some impish Slytherin character. Now, it seems that Malfoy watched one episode of Dragon Ball too many and hit the gym. Also, the awkwardness reached illegal levels by now... Sorry, guess a meme flinging one is what I am.

Double strike? Did Janet teleport the ball into another lane?

All will be explained... all will be explained...
Question is, will it all be explained soon enough? No, no it won't. Also, I wonder if someone jokingly slapped a bulls-eye on William's back, not knowing that they had condemned him to death?

I still hope Kat was trolling Renard and after him exploding there will be an awkwardnessplosion. Janet is just teenager-level jealous without real reason, so if Winsbury survives is still uncertain.

Is this going to be Winsbury's "We were on a break!" moment?
Lest we forget the theme of this year's dorms.

But then, Red would add the third stare. Okay, so who wants to start making wagers about whether or not Antimony will cheat by using ether? Will she try to... make her ball become like thing unto ramjet ?

I haven't been following the latest discussions, so I beg your forgiveness if this wildspec has already been stated. Maybe Winsbury and Janet are scheming to have Winsbury date someone else, in order to hide their relationship from Janet's father? Last we knew, the Court wasn't aware of it, and this must be very hard to hide from the Headmaster himself.
Janet's murder eyes in the last panel speak against this speculation, somewhat. They could also be schemer-eyes. (Also, they really remind me of the Headmaster.)

Janet isn't going to get revenge on Annie for stealing her boyfriend by ratting her and Kat out to her father for something is she? That doesn't sound like the kind of story Tom would write though, so maybe we're safe

That last panel is making me so uncomfortable. Just so much confusion. Stop trolling us Tom and tell us what is going on already! Well we can make some inferences. We have plenty of evidence to go on. Consider: Making a move on Annie right in front of Janet would make little sense if they were still dating, for starters. Not impossible, but it's somewhat of an implausible action to take. Also, both Margo and Kat are aware of Winsbury's intentions. That would suggest it's not a secret among the group of friends as a whole, which would suggest this is not news to Janet which leads us to Janet seems embittered on this page before he does anything, notably while she's bowling. That's not the face of someone who is Okay With Things In General. My take? Headmaster split them up at some indeterminate point in the past and now Janet is not thrilled with the direction things are going.
