The next page will continue the zooming in, maybe into her brain, or the ethereal form of her brain, which would show thoughts and memories or something.
Tom likes these sort of page transitions, so I'm calling it.

"We don't have the fancy crutches, so we have to properly concentrate."  I'm curious whether Annie does this on her own or is tutored by someone (probably Jenny or Rabbit Kid - or other Foley kids, if she feels like being harsh to herself today). |

From a meta point of view, we've already covered the "disassociating" Annie's going through in depth in previous chapters, and many people felt arc fatigue. For this chapter to break new ground, it's going to be mostly focused on recovery and reconnection, with perhaps a short intro showing her disassociation to remind readers of where Annie was when we last saw her. |

Annie's school uniform is grey and there is her etheric scar, so we are seeing her etheric presence learning to cope without the blinker stone before the chapter moves on to other topics. |

As I frequent some tech related forums I have understood beats are a kind of "meme-headphones". As in they used to be a trendy brand few years ago but there was a backlash and now they are just overpriced not particularly good phones and wearing ones today is a dead giveaway of either trying to be trendy way too hard or general cluelesness about audio gear. Am I about on charts with this? |

Am I about on charts with this? Beats sponsors(ed) a number of athletes who wear (wore) beats as a fulfillment of contractual obligations. I would not say that wearing beats is an indication of "trying too hard" but perhaps, especially for those more influenced by media, or those who look up to or admire specific athletes, it is an indication of a successful commercial operation regardless of product quality. No doubt there are many of you who can think of examples where one product that has surpassed a better product simply by a more successful marketing campaign, right? |
