If I knew what a sea otter feels like, I'd probably agree with you. But for now I'll add a powerful contribution to the discussion: AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

This is slowly morphing into a Shoujo Manga, haha. ("Sh- Shadow-kun?" "What is it Robot-senpai?")

Sea otters have the softest and thickest of furs. It is one of the reasons why they were hunted to near extinction. Shadow is a one of a kind, unique and singular. Perhaps his skin is even softer, defying quantification. The relationship between Shadow and Robot may also defy catorization yet we can empathize and go AWWWWWW...

Shadow's skin has the texture of a sea otter's fur.
I always imagined it as being cool and smooth to the touch, like rich silk.

All this discusion about Shadow's texture and sea otters makes me wonder what Shadow tastes like and whether he is a viable food source. I am leaning towards chicken and no, but I am ready for information to the contrary.

I always imagined it as being cool and smooth to the touch, like rich silk. I always thought of it more like a suede couch. Very, very soft, and firm with a little bit of give to it. After all, shadows naturally have diffraction, so I assumed that Shadow would be a little blurry around the edges. It would be difficult to say *exactly* where he begins and ends, and this would make him feel a little bit squishable.

Hmm. I always kinda imagined Shadow's skin was like felt cloth. I don't know why.
It's very interesting seeing what other people thought.

makes me wonder what Shadow tastes like Isn't human flesh supposed to taste like pork? The Glass Eyed Men were Coyote's attempt at creating humans, and he knows how we taste... No. Don't eat anything that talks.

Yes, I think she has no qualms eating chickens because she knows they are both stupid and mean. And fish may not be able to talk at all.

She discovered it when she could hear them talking Tom has said that the animals that Paz speaks to basically borrow her intelligence if necessary. Mice are not normally sentient in the Gunnerverse, except when they speak to her. The point being, the rule doesn't apply to Paz in the same way. She just can't eat anything she is currently talking to.

I hope we're not reminded of the "reject robots' romantic advances" rule anytime soon. first of all, how dare you... (seriously though i forgot about this. of all the possibilities, that would be such an awful thing to be an impediment to their relationship! Shadow isn't actually a student, though, so they might be safe!)

I always imagined it as being cool and smooth to the touch, like rich silk. this is sort of what i imagined, too! or like smooth hard plastic? but, like, not hard, if that makes sense. but come to think of it, since he's basically human, he's probably rather warm.
