King Robot isn't the only one with a supply of sharpies. (Is that allowed?)

I didn't think Kat (or Diego) would put so many actuators in robot's face.
So thoughtful of them to put Blush lights and sweat emitters.

This is probably some of the most obvious, barebones ship-teasing in the comic.
I love it.

This is probably some of the most obvious, barebones ship-teasing in the comic. I love it. It's not even ship-teasing, really, we've seen these two together like this for a long time. "I love my good friend, Shadow." and all. This is it. This is how I die. My love for this smol shadow and endearingly awkward robot is too much. I can't contain it. The very same robot that's leading an increasingly violent and aggressive cult?

People have always speculated on whether the "I love my dear friend, Shadow" is platonic at its core; this suggests otherwise.

It's not as if they stopped being friends when Robot realized he was crushing hard, and I felt that time on the rooftop indicated more similar situations, as well as being about on par with this. Interesting contradiction, no? I think that's the point, really. Fair point, the contradictions are certainly placed close enough together now to be at least somewhat divisive on what we're supposed to think of Robot. Personally, I'm worried about how the cult will affect Shadow in the future, as that's less easy to speculate on than how Kat will be affected. Really, anyone related to Robot and Kat that isn't either of them will be very interesting to watch once things get going.

Are we sure Robot was the main cause behind the cruise ship? Also, there's no reason to assume that before now he understood how or why Paz was good for Kat, where he could have removed her from the picture at any time so that she might get back to work. He wouldn't have known whether something like that could work or not.

For water to condence, parts of robots face have to cool considerably. For other parts to glow, parts right next to the cool ones have to heat to several hundred degrees. QED: Robots head will explode. Because of ROMANCE

I think it's interesting that Robot went from multiple strips of proselytizing for Kat as the Creator/Angel to a simple, "she is" is response to Shadow's statement of how incredible Kat is. Is it shyness, a desire to keep his relationship with Shadow separate from his religion, or something else, do you think?

I'm not sure what you're trying to say with the rest of it though. What are we assuming about Robot understanding things about Paz and Kat?

As to whether he took active part in the planning and execution is unclear, but his hands are far from clean.

If we think about it, one of the main things Robot seems to care about is that the job eventually get done however that is done. But he didn't understand how love helped with the pain, etc. So Paz could have, at any time, become a liability of Robot felt she was getting in the way more. I might be being influenced by how tired I am.

Honestly, the scariest thing about Robot to me now is how human he's becoming. This page would've been heartwarming to me a couple years back, but with the situation as it is now i'm beginning to worry how emotions and physical feeling will affect the direction Robot leads his cult. We already saw his fixation on pain.

We already saw his fixation on pain. Oh, absolutely. The Cult is going to share the experiences of humanity with many of the robots...but we forget how overwhelming and novel these experiences can be for an organism that has never felt them. We might get robots that embody the least positive aspects of humanity. I hope Robot S13 doesn't go too far with this (though he will...) – I like the society of robots portrayed so far.

A secondary fear I realized on your response, is how long do we have until The Cult and Robot Society are one and the same? Is that the point when their belief starts altering reality, or do they all need to be welcomed to the world of the biologic first? Will being made flesh make them easier to convert to The Cult, will it be a rite of passage, will it be a proof of The Cult's teachings, and fleshiness will be a serious reason to join? Such an innocuous page is making me so, so worried for the future.

Right now the Court bots are sceptical of Robot's new robo-flesh arm, but it is ingrained in their programming to search for the meaning of love. Once Robot reports back how the new body will help them understand love in a new way his cult will be popular again, I believe.
Also: I was wondering, why, in panel 2 and 3, Shadow was so fascinated by the arm he's already seen a page ago. The I realized, Robot is twisting his hand to show his arm muscles flexing.

I just realized that a benefit of Robot's religious way of speaking is that he didn't simply tell the other robots what a good job Kat did on his hand. Kat will not be pestered by other robots asking for hand jobs, or praised for her skill at same where humans might overhear. That could cause misunderstandings at school.
[edit] Not to mention that the Court may investigate Kat for secretly arming robots. That smacks of insurrection. [/edit]

Compared to Robot, Shadow has had a full body for some time. Robot only has an arm and the hand. That enough though for them to compare notes on experiences. Think they will experiment?
