Robot's thinking maybe it's time for another Zimmy-induced level 6 etheric distortion, before a distortion of another kind disrupts The Work

Paz is Galician, the Galician language is much closer to Portuguese than to Spanish — although "Katinha" is in fact the Portuguese spelling, standard Galician would write that "Katiña" I think?

Looks like Annie hasn't quite gotten around to clarifying what's going on, then. (maybe this chapter?) "take my mind of things"

Well, that doesn't sound foreboding at all.

Robot's not creeping. He would rather be doing arm curls, but those two don't have tickets... to the gun show. He'll just have to wait. Robot's thinking maybe it's time for another Zimmy-induced level 6 etheric distortion, before a distortion of another kind disrupts The Work I wonder, if they see Paz or Annie, as more of a distraction. Kat seems to be doing a good amount of work since Annie's been less sociable.

No idea. Even if, maybe he didn't find it easy to get an ñ in that font? Second panel though, shouldn't it be "my mind off things"?

I love that Paz has a nickname of sorts for Kat. Now what cutesy sort of name does Kat call Paz?

I am usually quick to feel foreboding about bad things happening to PazKat, but in this case I think the point is that Paz is helping Kat through this tough time.
That is part of the contrast between Annie and Kat: Annie has always isolated herself, hid her issues, and tried to deal with things on her own; while Kat seeks relationships, wears her heart on her sleeve, and accepts the support offered by others. Kat wishes she could provide Annie more support and Annie would be better for it, but Annie is still Annie even with her best friend.
Hopefully Robot will see that Paz is helping Kat with the Work by helping Kat deal with her emotions.

speaking of which, gee, wouldn't it be terrible if steps were taken to get rid of these distractions from her research

Possibly Annie rocks up to ask why her stuffed wolf isn't talking to her. KAT: "You mean, MY stuffed wolf, right?" Even if Rey was still Kat's possession - which is probably true, I don't think Annie did anything to revert control back to herself - there's no reason why Rey wouldn't be talking to Annie, especially since Annie and Kat are really good friends anyways. Unless Tom is going to go down a very dark path with that inexplicable twist... but I can't see that happening.

I believe arf is implying that Tony (or, more likely, the Court) has already extracted Renard from the plush wolf.

Not to be missed:
- Paz is wiping away Kat's tears in that panel where she touches Kat's face. Awwwwww. Paz is becoming my favorite character because of her, well, strength of character.
- This conversation about Kat feeling helpless to do anything re: Antimony is taking place in front of a ROBOT. Not just any robot, either, but SERAPH 13. Anyone else getting a "be careful what you wish for" vibe? Heh.

Nope, the "ñ" is not used in Galician I think you are mistaken. The official Galician orthography, as defined by the Royal Galician Academy and used by a majority of people in Galicia, does use "ñ". There exists a "reintegrationist" orthographical norm which is intended to be closer to Portuguese, and does use "nh" rather than "ñ", but it is not official and is only used by a minority of Galicians. The official orthography does use "nh", but to represent a different sound akin to English "ng".

I must confess I said that based in my exerience of galicians i' known, but if the RAG says so it must be right (and the fact that I live in a part of Spain where near nobody knows how to use "le, "la", "lo" correctly doesn't play in my favour). In the other hand, Paz is from a part of Galicia that's very near to Portugal, so it makes sense that she uses the "nh" instead of the "ñ".

Anyone else getting a "be careful what you wish for" vibe? Heh. And for extra ominousness: the ending of "The Torn Sea" indicates that S13 and the other robots learned the wrong lesson from that incident - not that what they'd done was wrong, but that the end justified the means.

I was merely suggesting that, if Rey is still under Kat's command, he may not be able to talk to Annie without permission. I don't think Kat's command is quite that strict, however.
