Lots of friends travel separate paths and when they get back together it is like they never left. Somehow I think this will be different and then again maybe not. This spot is a nice spot to hang out.

PLOT TWIST: fairy wishes to be male but can only be human This would be about the fastest way for Tom to set the forum on fire, no? Closely followed by revealing that Reynardine is actually Annie's real father.

Or something more dramatic: Finally seeing her opportunity, Green challenges Ysengrin, and ensures herself as Forest Arm Wrestling Champion.

Finally seeing her opportunity, Green challenges Ysengrin, and ensures herself as Forest Arm Wrestling Champion. Does her victory count if Ysengrin's arm crumbled to ash rather than being forced against the table?

Closely followed by revealing that Reynardine is actually Annie's real father. I had a brain derp and read Reynardine as Ysengrin. Take a moment and imagine that one. I'll wait.

I wonder how long Ysengrin is going to leave his arm like that. I'm half expecting him to just slip into the background, casually crush what remains of the thing, then just grow a new one in its place over the course of a few panels.

I'm...not going to find out.

Now let's see if the fairy reacts well to the big dumb giant with the multi-colored cube charging at her. No, no. Ysengrin is her mother. Luke. I am your father.

Not sure if anyone had previously considered how the fairy would react to this great lumbering human. Think of it from her point of view.
After the initial panic, though, and the tearful reunion, I think there is a real chance she'll opt to join him. Instant sweetheart, a new drama.

I like how we're again drifting off into the sureal places. Not that some of us need a lot of provocation. I am sorry for both the fairy and the rabbit. Friendships where people follow parallel lives, howver different in the details seem to suffer less than friendships where for example people move to other cities/ countries/ continents. Sometimes it even only takes for one party to have kids while the other party is still single and / or childfree. Is the cohesive material of friendships common interests, locality and similar experiences? Don't look at me. I got no idea why my friends like me.... Also maybe Coyote is Annie's dad and Jeane of the deep is her mom... "If you do not eat your brussel sprouts, I am going to cut you with my spectral sword!"

Remember the rabbit didn't even recognize Annie before her fire came back. A physical body doesn't really mean all that much to the creatures of the forest. I'm pretty sure our rabbit's ether self has not changed all that much.

And so the Duel of Puppy Eyes began. Which contestant will "Dawww!" first? Not sure if anyone had previously considered how the fairy would react to this great lumbering human. Think of it from her point of view. "You are so fat now!", you mean?

The fairy may be hoping for a sign, like Rabbit bending down and whispering her name.

The fairy may be hoping for a sign, like Rabbit bending down and whispering her name. That was the arrangement, from back in Tall Tales. This reunion is promising to be bitter-sweet.

Nah. Smitty-Smits has the ultimate "avoid intensely uncomfortable moments" superpower. 1) Green Fairy flies up toward Andrew. She says, "Mr. Medium, could you hel-" 2) Suddenly, a small meteor strikes Green Fairy without warning! Green Fairy is instantly slain and blasted into charred vapor!

But Green Fairy presumably hasn't been born "hollow", so that would only kill her (maybe). They'd need Coyote to do the totem removal first.
