At last! Angry Annie is...scary. But it's still better than icy Annie! Either's bad in excess, I guess. Originally, I thought Ysengrin lifted her by the neck, but looking at panel 2, he appears to have been holding her shoulder. I love how calm and blasé the rabbit is about this. Stuff like this happens all the time when Coyote lives nearby, I suppose.

Obligatory "Her hair, it goes up!" Is that some sort of face, Carver? (A fairly terrifying face.) I have nothing meaningful to contribute to this discussion. Boo.

(adapted from the Ministry song) Will that dream once known as SheRise from Dark Obscurity? Can't you see Her up in the sky As She blasts you in the face and says, "You Die!"? You never had the answers And now, you tell Her "the facts of life"? She really couldn't be bothered with you Get out of Her sight or learn to fry. Burning Inside! Burning Inside!Absolution in a Frozen RoomAnd the dream of Dad to Know She tried to grab it, but the touch was HotThe mirror collapsing, but the image would Not So scared of the Darkness in Her LightShe scared Herself because She knew She might She saw the evil in Her Savage EyeAs She burned right through the sky! Burning Inside! Burning Inside!Carving a mantra, with a blade through Her soulBind the Demon! Control! Still knows the pain of Her wrath and dismay For Her fire never fades away! Burn, little wolf-god. Burn away! Another stone through the window pane Another loss, another victim of Fate Another lesson in Hate! Burning Inside! Burning Inside!

Annie's double face in the fifth panel is awesome, but it looks like Ys is on fire by the last one...not so good. That's a whole lot of love and guts going on, but I hope Ys is confident in stopping Annie from killing everyone through emotional fire burst.
It also makes me wonder if Anthony had ever seen Surma really pissed off.

Also Rabbit-boy, you're got far more cuteness than self preservation. For my first course, I had rabbit served raw. 8/10, would eat again! I'm thinking that this time, the rabbit will be flash-fried. I'm excited to sample both! *ties napkin around neck*

Hrm, some deep thots on trust. Panel 1: Ys is laying some heavy stuff on ol' Annie. First, by implying that her father hasn't truly hurt her (in his opinion). And from a wolf's perspective he's right but Antimony's not a wolf. Second, he's letting her anger loose but saying he'll kill her father at her word. He must trust her a lot. And/or have holes in his mind. Or not care because he is a wolf and THIS IS SPARTA. Panel 5: Are we completely integrated here? I'm not sure. Panel 6-7: Rabbit is very trusting and/or smart enough to back Ysengrin's play here. Or just has no sense of danger. I'll guess trusting and smart. Which is interesting because Smitface who has the powa is holding Rabbit back in panel 4. It looks like he's trying to protect Rabbit... which would mean he doesn't trust Antimony completely to control herself under these circumstances, at least at this exact moment. But perhaps it just wasn't timely to release Rabbit until exactly then..?

That's a whole lot of love and guts going on, but I hope Ys is confident in stopping Annie from killing everyone through emotional fire burst. It also makes me wonder if Anthony had ever seen Surma really pissed off. If they actually courted and talked at all as a couple, it would be unavoidable. Surma was entirely willing to burn all bridges to the Court for herself, and Anthony would have been on hand for those discussions. Anthony also would have had his Epic 100% Iceman mindset in place every time she exploded and he didn't feel feel the explosion to be justified. Irresistable force. Immovable object. Must have been one heck of an intense relationship. Who won which fights, over which topics, with what consequences, is still a near-complete mystery at this point. But the fights Surma won and the fights that Anthony won would likely be near-total victories. They never contacted the Donlans again. They never returned to see Eglamore or anyone else. That's crazy-intense commitment to truly extreme life decisions, and the personal dynamics behind that had to have been equally intense.

While idly listening to the song darththulhu posted and staring at the comic I noticed something... Antimony's skirt is now for some reason slit up to her waist! [See panel 1, compare to panel 2 previous comic.] What the hell, Annie! You're not old enough to get THAT mad!

I think that's an illusion, the skirt is still all wrapped around, the little bit of light at the side is the flames not her skin, with a dark bit above it not being the outline of the skirt but just an accenture to the flame.

Bunny kid didn't know she was the forest medium because she didn't have her fire with her, but now he sees who she is. Heh. I like this kid. And I find Annie's angry face both very frightening and incredibly satisfying to see.
Oh! If you look you can see the fire elemental's face next to Annie's in panel five! I didn't realize at first, I thought that was her hair!

Also Annie, good to see you again! Now stop setting Ysengrin on fire and take the rabbit boy to see his friend.
Next week we see Annie helping to take rabbit boy to see his friend with Smittie, while Ysengrin smoulders (literally) in the background

Yeah, you can see the outline of the skirt itself that's distinctly different from that dark spot of flame.

"If he trully does hurt you, I will rend the flesh from his bones on your word". I can hear Ysengrin's voice in my head saying that in a low, calm voice as if he is not making a grave promise. He damn well loves her. And he is parenting. Oh boy is he! She is in safe hands. Look at him kneeling to be at her height. And standing still while her fire is burning his hand. He has seen her in her most weak as she has done with him. And they still love each other. Damn Tom right in the onion fairy's hands again.
By the way. Do the job that is in front of you, is a good piece of advice.

I see no possible way this situation can end badly with anyone regretting their actions.
Severely disappointed that Annie's hair didn't instantly grow back, but after Red's incident I guess it's safe to say that there are some things outside of the ether's power, and one of those things is hair styling. Sure you can make a robo-whale but can you make a sick Mohawk?!

Yeah, you can see the outline of the skirt itself that's distinctly different from that dark spot of flame. If you mean that dark accent in the background flames was unfortunate in size [abnormal width] and position and its pairing with the color stripe to the left [incredibly similar to shaded skin] then I think we all agree [that is what philman was saying] though the truth is boring. Also: Am disappoint that this "wardrobe malfunction" has [at time of posting] not been remarked on elsewhere on the internets.

While waiting for this page to appear it occurred to me that this is Coming Out Week and one of the mottos and advice is, "Don't sneak. Be what you are but don't sneak." This is part of who Annie is. Hopefully Ysengrin's reminder of the job and Bunny's trusting and happy greeting will help Annie come to her senses and quit trying to turn Ysengrin into charcoal.
Man, this chapter and faces. Wednesday gave us the Saddest Face. Today we get the Maddest Face and the Happiest Face. I think Ysengrin gets the Bravest Face.
