I like the caption. God Tony's face is bugging me. Can't wait for that dinner.

Phrasing.
I wonder if Anthony merely wants to question him about something? Hopefully, we'll get some answers Friday.

How did Anthony not see them through the window? Also right in the nick of time.
Does anybody think Anthony is the type to try and bluff setting his tail on fire to try and flush him out? Then again, Renard has probably given himself some form of fire protection by now.

I think that Tony probably knows more than we give him credit for. I wouldn't be surprised if he knows that the symbol changed and may guess the meaning, or something like that.

Rey's symbol doesn't show when he's in stuffed toy mode.
Will Tony bring Rey to dinner?

Anthony: "Renard, I command you to show yourself." Renard (thinking): "Are you dumb? You're looking at me, it's not like I'm invisible or hiding myself." *Time passes, Anthony grades Antimony's schoolwork" Renard (out loud): "Hold it, that answer you marked as correct was actually wrong." *Anthony grins, but it does not show up on his face. Nothing shows up on his face, ever.*

Has he been trying this every time he gets home? Has anyone told him a definition of insanity is to keep trying the same thing and expecting the result to change?
Wondering if the scene will stick with Tony here (and give an insight into his intentions) or follow Parley and co wherever it is they have teleported.

Oh hello Mr Creepy Creepson. He is pathetic. How could Surma who was fire to the point of recklessness and tbh severe jerkiness (is that a word?) fall in love and have a child with Mr My-Other-Face-Is-Granite? Still good on Rey and good on Kat. I am looking forward to the dinner.

Heh, I wouldn't be surprised if he's phrased it differently every single time. Rey will have to be careful not to choose a form that shows his symbol if he ever decides to interact with Tony.

Anthony's still working as a teacher right? Its odd that he only works on Annie's schoolwork and not the papers of his other students.

Silly Anthony, Renard is already in your sights. Maybe you should get your eyes checked.
I know there's the danger of the whole symbol thing, but its not exactly wise for Renard to sit still all the time, either. Anthony knew there was something up immediately.
And we've already seen from Hetty that its possible to hide the mark, anyway. Plus Renard's "imp" form doesn't even have the mark visible by default. Surely he can do the same for his puppy form, right?

Sitting there.
At his desk. All alone.
How evil!

A scientific mind knows that a slight change in parameters can mean a great deal, so it's better to always check if you can reproduce your results. He's testing, and he's thinking. He already suspects that Annie is lying to him, it won't be long before he knows for sure. It would have bought them more time if Rey had at least pretended to be under his control...

Anthony's still working as a teacher right? Its odd that he only works on Annie's schoolwork and not the papers of his other students. Perhaps other students count as "work" and he does that at school (and all lesson plans are done beforehand and exist in his head)? Antimony however counts as a "personal interest" and therefore he deals with her schoolwork at home. Anthony seems like a guy who would set and follow his own personal rules. "Work" is work and done at work and "personal" is personal and done at home? The absence of things in his apartment is slightly unsettling but I'd be willing to bet that he does not have any personal items. Or maybe the chair is his personal belonging?

Surely he can do the same for his puppy form, right? I think Rey had this form when Annie gave him to Anthony and he's more or less playing a still, lifeless toy by now. If he never moves, he never confirms that he is actually alive, and never gives Anthony a reason to do anything else but wonder if he's still in the toy, or even imaginary or only visible in the ether - there are a lot of etheric beings/things that you can only perceive when you're actually attuned to the ether.

"Work" is work and done at work and "personal" is personal and done at home? Yeah, he probably has an office (we've seen that Jones and Eglamore do). And as the guy who enjoys and enforces order, he'd keep the teaching material and his student's homework in his office, and the personal stuff in his home.

Anthony never saw Reynard in plushie form in person until after Annie transferred ownership to Kat and then gave Reynard to Anthony. The only way Anthony would know about Annie's symbol on Reynard is if someone else told him about it or he observed it through past surveillance recordings. Perhaps other students count as "work" and he does that at school (and all lesson plans are done beforehand and exist in his head)? And he keeps his inhuman experiments in his secret laboratory and Surma's corpse in his laboratory closet. Okay, that is unsupported speculation. But we know he doesn't keep Surma's corpse in a closet at the house he is currently using because Reynard would have found it.

Maybe her death is what turned him into this. I think we have a lot of blank points regarding Surma and Anthony's relationship. [unless the creator has explained it in a reply someplace] Surma looked as if she was very much in love with Eglamore. Anthony was mostly Donald's friend. Eglamore and Surma have a fight. Surma not only marries but also has a child with Anthony. Eglamore is still fiercly in love with Surma. Why did they break up? My pet theory is that Surma wanted a child (for her own reasons), Eglamore did not want to participate in what could be seen as suicide. Surma used her willes on Anthony (she was proficient in tricking people - well foxes) and she gets her child. [yep conjecture and theorizing] As for her death turning him into... [epithet reducted] I remember pages showing Annie's memories. He didn't look that animated then neither. The page where Annie breaks a water glass is one of the most poignant things in the comic. For me at least.

Perhaps, Tony doesn't merely want to get rid of the fire elemental in Annie, but use it à la Frankenstein. From what we know of death and the Ether, that could be a dangerous and complex story.

Will Tony bring Rey to dinner? I wonder if we'll end up in a scenario where he'll produce Rey at the dinner table, then out of the blue will ask Kat to say something that would transfer ownership. No accusations or build up or anything, just a straight up request to see if she gets defensive. It would be consistent with his behaviour in regards to the sudden reappearance in the classroom. Another interesting thing would be to see how the Donlans would react to Rey. We've already seen that hes on good terms with Eglamore, but the last time I remember him interacting with either of the Donlans was when Anja was teaching Annie how to use the blinker stone.
