Well that was rather quick, assuming Kat left as soon as school ended.

The boxes are still there! She's not gone yet, Kat, it's not too late! Summon your Angel Powers and rescue your main babe!!!
Or kick Anthony in the shins, maybe.

I know this is just going to lead to more bad things, but the fact that we won't have to deal with Anthony for a few pages just gives me an overwhelming sense of relief.

Presumably they've been packing Annie's things during the rest of the schoolday. Oh Looooord, I'm just waiting for Kat to come face to face with an utterly broken Annie.

Dang, those are some ugly boxes. Ominous looking plastic bag, as well.
(I just love Tom's little comments.)
OK, Kat. Quick like a bunny, talk to your parents. Find out what they know.
One somewhat reassuring aspect of this is that apparently Mr. Carver is done passing sentence.
Also, it's clear the Court is backing him on this; they have to be the ones responsible for packing her stuff while she was in class.
Actually, it was probably robots that moved things. Kat should talk to her robots to find out where Annie went.
And where oh where is Reynard's plushy? Out of all of this, I am truly concerned for Reynard's safety at the hands of Anthony.

Hm, Annie also has a blinker stone and one of Egg's signal sticks. I hope those are still in her possession.

I for one am in favor of that guy teleporting in and making for an effective physical (if temporary and unlikely to have any words that would be effective on Anthony) barrier until Jones or someone else gets there with the ammo to stop Carver.

What's in the box? What's in the box?!! What's in the f... A well timed break in the intensity of the previous scenes, but I'm kind of dreading the next page or two, for what I suspect it's going to do to my feels. Alternatively I'm very excited to see Kat swing into action/hear here plan (or at very least see more of her angry face when she speaks about Anthony), and for what it might do to my feels. Well that was rather quick, assuming Kat left as soon as school ended. If biology was the first class of the day it's possible this is up to 5 hours or so later, though I think Kat would probably have used any free time, like during lunch, to go looking - so it might just be an hour or two later. Alternatively Anthony sent someone/robots to pack Antimony's stuff while she was in biology class.

Oh, hurry Kat! I'm glad the focus has shifted. I had almost reached my limit of Anthony Carver pages. Almost.
I'm interested in what Kat is going to do next. Will she seek out Annie and try to convince her to stand up to her father? I don't think that will succeed. In fact, Annie might ask her to leave matters be. Would Kat acquiesce to that? She doesn't have the clout to take on Anthony. But there are people who do. I really hope she can help! Things are not looking good!

Once again, page 1495, Anthony tells Kat that Annie won't be joining her for the rest of the day's classes. You could well be right on this; I missed the first post on that point while composing. Again, possible, but not in evidence. Especially concerning his motives. I have to say, though, I'd rather pack my own stuff than let the robots do it. Still, the robots likely transported it. Kat should still make inquiries to determine Annie's new living quarters. Probably a packing crate beside the cafeteria dumpster. Wouldn't want her to get all uppity. At least there will be plenty of snacks close to hand, and she can adopt a rat as a new pet. No, wait! A pigeon! Antimony and City Face, together at last!

I concur with those of you who are glad not to have to see Anthony for a while. Mind you, if Tom is reading this, it doesn't mean I hate his writing or whatever. It's amazing how much he's managed to make us hate a character. I don't think there was this much hatred way back when with Diego, who arguably did something much worse. But this is Annie we're talking about. I suppose the hatred for Anthony is a measure of how much we care about Annie. The monstrous thing is, Anthony is not acting out of malice but out of deep, if misguided, love and concern. Man, following a webcomic is awesome sometimes. I feel like those neighbors who would discuss the soap operas among themselves with total seriousness. Also when I saw Kat running, I thought she was running to get her parents to help! My heart sunk when I realized it was after classes and too late.

Half-wondering if Tom's gonna bust out something for page 1500. I know that stuff supposedly isn't planned beforehand, but it would be somewhat amusing (especially recalling what p1000 kicked off).

And I see Katerina has failed to learn the value of skipping classes.

Now all I can think of is a thread dedicated to shopping Annie-in-a-box into various remote, desolate locales of the court.

So...can we safely put the "it's a dream" theories to bed now? It was Kat's dream all along! You know, bizarrely, something about this page made me wonder for a moment if the whole thing was Kat's dream. And I never subscribed to the dream theory! I don't think it IS Kat's dream, and I have absolutely no idea why I had that thought when I saw this page, but it is weird that now people are joking about it.

There is no need for you to concern yourself with her whereabouts, Ms. Donlan. Probably a packing crate beside the cafeteria dumpster. Wouldn't want her to get all uppity. At least there will be plenty of snacks close to hand, and she can adopt a rat as a new pet. No, wait! A pigeon! Antimony and City Face, together at last! He's a pigeon, she's formerly part-elemental and all emotional wreck! It's everyone's favorite Sunday Sitcom Duo: Antimony and City Face! So...can we safely put the "it's a dream" theories to bed now? It was Kat's dream all along! Predictive Dr. Disaster simulation preparing everyone for Anthony's eventual return.

I think it looks like she's seeking out Annie, probably for a combination of comforting her/wanting her to stand up to her dad. I guess the question is - will Antimony be there? She wears a mask, and hides a lot of emotional stuff - she'd be feeling terrible, plus guilty, ashamed, embarrassed... if it was me, as someone who has a bit of an anxiety thing and also wears a mask - I'd probably have spent the hours since last seeing Kat stewing & letting it grow out of control in my head to the point where I would have googled "joining The French Foreign Legion" by now. I could understand if Antimony tries avoiding Kat.

I could understand if Antimony tries avoiding Kat. It's weird at this point to think I was ever worried Kat would turn on Annie when she overheard about the cheating. I mean, they'll probably discuss it at some point, but not until Antimony is safe and in a stable emotional state, because Kat is Really An Extremely Good Friend Who I Am Sorry For Doubting. But yeah, Annie is NOT in a good place right now and from what we can tell seems to feel like she deserves all she's getting*. I don't think Kat standing up for her about living arrangements after hearing about the cheating thing is enough for Annie to understand the reality of the situation for Kat. That is, I don't think she could possibly realize that Kat's first and biggest priority is making sure Annie is OK, because Annie doesn't really realize how very not OK what is happening to her right now is. So yeah, I agree she's probably feeling all guilty and possibly avoiding Kat because she's afraid of Kat's anger, because she doesn't realize how very different (and in Annie's favor) the situation and priorities involved appear to Kat. *when I say "all she's getting" I include the way Anthony is treating her, the manner in which he's speaking to her, etc, not just her punishment for cheating itself. I'm not sure I expressed that well... did that make sense? EDIT: Attempt to express it better. May or may not have helped.

I am glad the focus is off Anthony/Antimony for the moment. I want to see what Kat does now! heh.. my reaction is quite the opposite. I need to know what is going on with Antimony. I am bubbling with anticipation and pent up anger cause I can't help Antimony. This chapter is too close to home for me. I do hope Kat goes to Rey next. btw I read one comment saying that all that has happened to Antimony is because she running wild. Antimony is a neglected child that was raised in isolation. Moreover everyone apart from Kat has been treating her as a surrogate Surma. No one explained things to her (how social integration works or how she fits in the world). The court is a twisted closed off society where people watch you all the time by putting things in your food. Murder is hussed up (yes the one we know about is too far in the past but what about what we do not know about?) and people are decanted and seperated from their souls. And in the centre of it there is Antimony coping like she always did. Wearing her mask and looking after herself trying to keep herself safe, because no one else will. And this is why I hate Anthony Carver and sincerely hope Koyote will chomp him down like he did that wasp thing pretending to be seed of bismouth.
