Giving a romantic rival of your father to your father is a bad idea

That's it everybody. Get out your pitchforks. Anthony Carver is gonna be unrecognizable after the forum is finished with him.

There's Saturn, anyway.
One possibility: this *is* an imaginary sequence, and Annie's still in the bathroom?
(No, I really don't know where this is going to end.)

Geez, Annie. Try to keep your cool here, if you really want to go touch the moon again I'm sure Coyote would be more than happy to bring it back down. We've got more important things to focus on.
Yeeeeah. Alright, so... unless there's some deeply symbolic meaning to tripping off the face of the earth and drifting through space, I think this is the point where I have to acknowledge this is a dream.

I imagine this was probably Mr. Carver's primary goal in this conversation. I wonder how firmly he would press his other points if they were challenged by someone with authority or power?

Well let's just say I've been sitting in front of my computer, making a "ffffppffffffffff" sound incoherently. That is literally what came out of my mouth. This is too much. Too far, Anthony, too far.
And however laughable I might consider the idea that this was all a dream, I can't help but think Tom is seriously messing with us now. Because this page, this page takes it too far.
However!!! I'm thinking something else now. The art is turning back to the childish Annie mindset. So now I'm wondering if it's possible that this has all been Annie's train of thought, her imagination of what would happen when she returned to the classroom after washing off her makeup. She's still in that bathroom staring at the mirror! Now she'll return to the classroom and her worst fears won't actually come true. Her father won't monstrously clamp down on her.
I know it's too much to hope for. Ahhh. Whatever the outcome, I AM FEELING MESSED WITH, SIDDELL! *shakefist*

This is the most blatant visualization of dissociation I've ever seen. She is so out of her body that she's floating in space. Poor Annie.

Aaand... this chapter has officially topped Fire Spike as the most painful to read. I had hoped this would be the point at which Annie would push back, but now I'm just hoping that someone will step in and stop this madness.

At what point does Annie's contract of ownership (ETA: of Reynardine) pass to her father? Does she have to actually give the doll to him, or did merely "okay" transfer him? (wonder how jones, anja, Donny, and eglamore will react to this) That's honestly what I'm most hoping to see after this scene ends.

Next is her blinker stone, then he will cut her hair short. Then there will be a 5-year timeskip where she only studies in isolation (?)

The forest disconnection and this are sketchy as hell and smack of Dad's baggage.

One possibility: this *is* an imaginary sequence, and Annie's still in the bathroom? Oh, I think this is all real. We don't know the reason, but I think it's real. But will they carry through on this? Once they learn, all of the other non-headmaster adults will object and block this. UNfortunately, it may be that only the Headmaster's opinion counts. And that this will stand. Tom wouldn't be that cruel, right? ...right? Speaking seriously, they earlier said that they couldn't take Rey from Annie without her permission (because then he'd be set free). Although we've seen how submissive Annie gets around her father, I doubt she'd consent to giving him Rey when push comes to shove*. The worst part of all of this is seeing Annie, who would usually respond like this, be so meek and just broken when her father orders her around. "Abuse" isn't a word to be thrown around lightly here, but the only similar thing I've seen in the real world is a friend of mine who was abused as a child. She would be fiery and independent until her father entered the room, then she'd just weakly agree with everything he said and fade away into the woodwork. Kind of what's happening here, but likely from emotional abuse rather than physical abuse. *Unless this "okay" counts?** ** I don't think it would, but of course our understanding of Rey's possession and the meaning of ownership has always been shaky.

I think at this point we can say that speculation suggesting that the court summoned anthony to deal with antimony is basically true. There's no way Mr. Control Freak would just coincidentally demand something the headmaster tried and failed at eariler.
I also have to wonder when this nightmarish sequence is going to end. I mean yeesh, what can the man do next, order her into the operating theater?
